Oh my God. Itís not only a reaction for drinking one of Dieu De Cielís beers, but a figurative translation of the Montreal breweryís name. Just ask our brewmaster, heís in heaven when drinking this collaborative tripel, inspired by Dieu De Cielís love of hibiscus and Belgians love of the obscure, hence our addition of tart feijoa fruit. Cheers!

snifter. Pours a nice peachy orange (from the hibiscus?), effervescent and clear with an off white, pink-tinged head. Smells sour, apples, pineapple, belgian yeast, still smells like a tripel at its core, biscuity. Taste: sour apples, belgian yeast, biscuity and caramel, finishes slightly dry with a hint of smoke, a super faint woodsy, tobacco-ish flavor on the back of the tongue. Crisp palate, not too sticky. Overall pretty awesome. Iím not too familiar with feijoa but iím lookin up where to get some now!

Funky peach, whole lemon, and grass nose. Clear amber, medium head. Tangy peach and lemon flavor. Lemony tartness tips the scales. Full bodied, alcohol eveident but not excessive. Yeah, the Dieu du Ciel influence is obvious. Some light maltiness peeks through in the end.

Oh my God is right. This is a lovely light but complex beer. A great effervescence to it. A nice touch of flowery sweetness to it. A cranberry note is underneath this too. It all works on the base of a tripel.

Pour pinkish gold, nice tartness from the fruit. Solid trippel. Smooth and delicious.

Clear slightly dark amber pour. Some white head and lacing. Floral and fruity nose, maybe pear? Really nice mouthfeel, just heavy enough with good carbonation. Sweet with a tinge of tartness.

on tap at USNWC. Appearance: Deep, dark amber; fairly clear; small but durable off-white head. Smell: way more like a wild ale than a tripel, there is a load of farmhouse funk in here along with the expected yeast and hints of citrus. Taste: Heavenly Feijoa tastes a little better than it smells, largely thanks to a rather strong tartness. Still, too much off-flavor, likely intentional, from Brett and/or wild yeast. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied; Smooth with excellent, medium carbonation. Overall: Unique, surprisingly tart, and, for a "tripel", way too much like a farmhouse ale.

Malty and slightly sour aroma. Light amber color with thick white head. Starts with a good malty sweetness and finished very sour. The sourness lingers, but is not unpleasant. This is a sipping beer that you want share. It would be hard to get through a 22-ounce bottle alone. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A- 24K gold colour, small, quickly shrinking head of foam, not much lacing. S- aromas of apple vinegar, a bit of honey like sweetness that comes and goes. T- fruity tartness up front..apples and pears. candi sugar sweetness, some alcohol that burns during the swallow. Spices come through in the finish; light cloves, a bit of pepper. M- medium bodied, very low carbonation, not the best of mouthfeels. O- $17.99 for this LOF brew that just showed up in town. I love sour brews but this one isnít doing much for me. It doesnít seem to have any harmony of flavours going on.

Strong tropical fruit aroma with mango, pineapple and grapefruit (never tried feijoa so I donít know the smell/taste). Bubbly brownish copper with a large foam. Interesting fruity flavor. Tons of tropical fruits topped off with Belgian yeast. Very dry finish with some hops, biscuit and dried caramel. Overall, this is not bad at all. A very unique, fruity Tripel with a pleasantly dry finish. Iíd give this an A rating.
