COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Oh my God. Itís not only a reaction for drinking one of Dieu De Cielís beers, but a figurative translation of the Montreal breweryís name. Just ask our brewmaster, heís in heaven when drinking this collaborative tripel, inspired by Dieu De Cielís love of hibiscus and Belgians love of the obscure, hence our addition of tart feijoa fruit. Cheers!

Light orange color, lingering white head. Fruity hibiscus dominates the aroma with dough and toast in the background. Flavor follows the aromas very close; hibiscus and bready malt. The beer has an initial sweetness which thatís quickly subdued by a pleasant tartness. Reminds me of a pino gris. Solid beer.

22 ounce bottle, best enjoyed by March 2014. Served in a goblet, the beer pours a slightly hazy golden/peach color with about an inch off-white head that stayed around a while. Thereís also a lot of lacing. The brew smells like hibiscus, stone fruit/tropical fruit (which I assume is the Feijoa), bready malt, and some peppery spice. It has a fruity taste thatís hard to describe, but like the aroma it reminds me of a stone fruit and tropical fruit, along with some citrus making it an unusual mix that I wasnít expecting. Itís a bit sweet and tart. I can also taste some bready malt and floral notes (hibiscus). Mouthfeel/body is medium, itís well carbonated and easy to drink. I think itís a good brew overall, I liked it. $8.99 a bomber.

Honey color with white head, nose of spices and light fruit, cherries, banana. Light body with good amount of carbonation. Tangy from the start, dry, vinous characteristics, slight fruity sweetness. Balanced and delicious.

Color of dark honey, poured very clear with a very slight head. Taste starts with a good mild tripel and quickly hits with flavors of mango, maybe papaya. Even that is dwarfed by the sweetness of well, flower oils. They are very sweet, very pronounced, and the hang in the whole mouth well after the swallow. Normally, that would be off putting, but it works for this beer. Aroma is mild but hints at what that sweet finish will be. This is a polarizing beer I think, but good if it is your thing.

On tap. Deep amber/yellow. Heavy foam on pour fades to a thin layer. Odd sort of metallic funk nose (which, I just realized, I seem to get from other Lips of Faith beers). Tastes of yeast, floral (specifically hibiscus), passionfruit. Almost tropical in its qualities.

Very tropical aroma and flavor, pineapple, floral hibiscus, mango, hints of strawberry and watermelon. Somewhat sour. Very good beer. Nice mouthfeel, fizzy, not syrupy or watery.

22 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a hazy copper with a thin ring of white foam around the edge of the glass. The aroma is definitely on the sweet side a little bit of tartness and herbal notes coming through as well. Taste is sweet, a little acidic, and bready. I do get a bit of alcohol burn toward the back end, but overall, this beer is pretty drinkable.

Bpmber shared at Craft Ale 20-Aug-2013. Poured hazy golden with white clingy head. Nose was black peppery hibiscus, funky yeasty malt, hopcitrus. Tasted complex, hoppy, citric, with notes if black pepper, hibiscus, and a complex, lively mouthfeel. This one was stellar.

Pours from a pretty bottle a slightly cloudy peach/orange color with a medium off-white head that dissipates gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of funky fruits and spices. Medium-bodied with flavors of tart bitter fruit, peppercorns and yeast. The finish is peppery with a tart fruity aftertaste. Decent overall, if nothing else I learned I donít care for feijoa fruit.

Orangey clear brew with a tight head. Aroma is pretty alcoholic with fruit that I am guessing the exotic fruit in the brew. Taste is very fruity with a Belgian yeasty finish. This is an interesting brew. I like it.
