3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Clear pinkish orange pour with a big white head. Aroma is tangy, cirusy, slightly tart. Flavor is similar. Sour notes, a bit of Belgian yeast. Kind of one note and a little funky in a bad way. Not great.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pour from a bottle at New Belgium. Weird how all other Lips of Faith were on tap except the collaborations with DDC and Vivant. Anyway, this one pours a cloudy golden color with a small but lasting white head. Citrus and tropical fruits, caramel and pale malts, mild spice, sugar, and a good dose of herbs. Definitely a hoppy tripel. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation. I couldn’t bring myself to go 8 in the aroma or flavor, but there’s an x-factor to this one I couldn’t put my finger on and really liked.

Mostly clear yellowish brown with a small, dense white head. Aroma is light apple ester, with a hint of banana. Taste is the same, with a slightly tart lychee aftertaste, and a light, tart acetic note throughout. $8/22oz

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour out of 22 oz bottle, clear amber pour with fizzy but fluffy off white head, aroma brought notes of biscuit, tropical fruit and Belgian yeast. Taste is surprisingly tart. with a pineapple sweetness. Spicy and funky on the finish with a very subtle bitterness. What is this beer? There is a touch of alcohol in the nose. But other than that, it does not really resemble a tripel. Fairly dry finish, but the lingering tartness inhibits some of the dryness. It is not unpleasant. I think farmhouse might have been a better characterization.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
pours clear gold w/ hints of red, hints of red fruit and honey on nose, taste - honey, tart; not my favorite sour from this series - it’s a bit too sweet and not quite tart enough

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 ounce bottle from Brusin Ales. Very sweet. Hibiscus and an agave nectar taste upfront and throughout. Not sure what to make of that intense sweetness. Must be the feijoa.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Thought this was pretty interesting. Uite sour in the front. With fruit and typical Belgian notes coming in after that. Could have used some more balance as the Belgian qualities were quite subdued and in the background. Still, quite enjoyable and unique.
