Serving up cold and jet black, this imperial stout should be taken seriously for about one minute as the dark foam builds. Then, enjoy its velvety chocolate-covered smoothness and delicious aroma of sustainably-grown, locally-roasted coffee.

Pour from a 22oz. Dark black with a tall foamy tan head, pretty high carbonation. Scent is strong of coffee, doesn’t get much better than that. Taste is primarily coffee with some sweet chocolate, pretty simple but quite tasty.

Bottle. Dark black pour with a thick, light tan head and thin lacing. Dark-roast coffee with chocolate notes for the nose. Big, bitter coffee forward along with dark chocolate and a hint of cinnamon. Lighter texture than I expected but still within style. A very drinkable coffee stout.

Its just a really dark beer with a lot of coffee aroma and a ton of coffee taste. I almost forget its beer if it wasn’t for the name.

Bottle. Pours black, big brown head with large bubbles. Aroma is very coffee forward with backing chocolate. Taste of bitter coffee, chocolate, toffee, roasted malts, vanilla. Tasty and quite a light impy.

On draught at Crystal Beer Parlor in Savannah. Black pour with a bit of brown around the edges, and a medium dark beige head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Coffee aroma backed up by malt and chocolate. Medium to full body with flavors of roasted coffee, chocolate malt and a bit of caramel. The finish is coffee up front with a burnt malt aftertaste. Above average overall.

deep brown black .. cat on my lap .. foam doing its work .. light mouth, light burp .. deep coffee, and some tar .. sweet roast, mouth seems on par .. not what i was thinking it was going to be .. . . i often feel sad, like when i watch the news or when i realize i buried my dog alive when i was 6- never have quite come to terms with that.

Bomber poured to chalice. Aroma of chocolate and roasty malt. Mouthfeel is thin. Taste is very chocolatey and I didn’t get much coffee. More of a cocoa. The finish is warm and roasty. Any hint of coffee was picked up in the finish. Overall fairly drinkable and average for the style.

Pours a deep black with just a hint of brownish amber and a smaller bubbly tan head. Aroma of milk chocolate and a coffee milkshake. Flavor of the same coffee milkshake. But not in an artificial way. The beer is what you would expect from the deScription and I like it. Dessert beers like this might not be for everyone but I dig it. Great use of coffee and chocolate in a beer.

Pours a nice BLACK with a chocolate colored head. Aroma of espresso(mainly), chocolate, and burned malts(maybe faint smoke). Taste of chocolate, caramel macchiato and finishes with a nice bitter coffee/espresso. Very palatable. Not a heavy beer. Very good.
