4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Enjoyed via a bottled from Outpost Co-op on Capital Drive in Milwaukee. Pours a deep brown-black with a large and clingy tan head. The aroma is a mocha latte. The taste is like an iced mocha; you get the coffee flavors, chocolate, cream and some caramel. The palate is silky smooth like drinking milk or cream. There is little to no boozy flavor less a warm burn on the back and side of the tongue. The finish is chocolate caramel. This is a new favorite, for sure.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Black body with a tall dark tan head. Some spotty lacing. Aroma is chocolates and coffee with a light cocoa puffs. Flavor is chocolate with oats and subtle coffee. For once a brewer was able to make a beer either chocolate added and not have that gross oily component. Medium roast. Medium body that has no hint of 9%.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Sister. Rather thick and strong in flavor. The chocolate is quite strong and fake, but not in a bad way actually. Itís like a good quality chocolate syrup. Some dick who seemed to be rolling spilled 2/3 my glass.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Black in color with a tan head. Huge coffee aroma, coffee grounds, roasted malt, and dark chocolate. A little bit of toffee and caramel sweetness, earthy hops, and cocoa powder. Strong coffee flavor to the beer, though a bit more coffee grounds character than expected. Mild bitterness, dark chocolate, roasted malt, and a mild toffee sweetness.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a deep black color with a tall, very tall dense creamy head. Nose has a strong coffee, strong toasted malt - think opening a fresh sack of malt and mild chocolate finish. Flavor has a strong black coffee start, sweet chocolate middle to help mellow out the bitterness, strong toasted notes, some oatmeal sweetness at the end with a very light nutty finish. Oily feeling, perfect amount of carbonation to lend a creaminess to the brew, very smooth with not a hint of alcohol. Overall a very tasty brew. Perfect balance of coffee and chocolate. Sweetness from the chocolate is very nice. Very good brew.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 oz bottle. Dark brown with a foamy tan head. Nose is coffee bean and some molasses with a hint of chocolate. Smooth medium body with a sultry buzz. Taste is not so coffee-centric as the aroma but still prominent. Bittersweet chocolate, sugar-free fudgesicle and grain. I just realized the Skins havenít won in the playoffs since i started rating beers.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
This beer smells amazing! Roasted coffee and chocolate right when you open the bottle. Really drinkable stout but thinner than Iíd like and while balanced I prefer my high ABV stouts to be more robust. Well done! New Belgium needs to shut down their normal brews in most grocery stores and just focus on the Lips of Faith Series, although Iím sure their sales would say otherwise.
