Bomber bought at Super 1 in CDA, ID. Pours dark dark brown to near black with a medium tan head that leaves some lace. Aroma consists of malted chocolate milk balls, espresso. Taste starts out sweet like mocha coffee before turning bitter in the finish. The chocolate and coffee flavors are pronounced. Mouthfeel is velvety; body could be a little fuller. Nice coffee beer.

On tap at Smoke and Barrel....Pours pitch black, smells like a mocha latte. It’s got a ton of coffee flavor and even more chocolate. Would probably be good for dessert, but I never eat dessert. For me, it’s just a little sweet and sticky.

Bomber. Dark brown pour, with a small tan head. Sweet coffee, light roast, milk chocolate, somewhat old coffee taste. Decent, but it seems I’m always disappointed when I buy a lips of faith beer.

Botte via SL... Lets start with the taste. Bitter, chocolate, coffee. Delicious! Nose is nice, cold coffee, bitter chocolate notes. Looks great... Black as wesley snipes. Small mocha colored head that fades quickly. Creamy smooth body, easy to drink for a 9+ percenter.... Overall... Good shite!

22 oz. bottle- Pours pitch black with a one finger tan head. Aroma is gourmet coffee, chocolate, it smells like creamy fresh brewed coffee with a touch of cocoa added, yummy. The taste is coffee of course, more bitter and dry than the aroma led on, cocoa, some hops. Body is full and creamy, carbonation is medium. I really liked this beer, coffee and chocolate are nothing new to the impy stout genre, but that is because it works, they blend wonderfully, really enjoyed it!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours black with a nice medium brown head and a lasting ring of foam. Aroma of coffee, milk duds, dark chocolate, and slight fruit; sweet and tangy on the nose all at once. Flavor of moderate roast, dry at first but then you get hit with the sweet chocolate and malt flavors as well as coffee. Finish is pretty strong with bitter coffee, earth, smoke, and vaguely milky aftertaste. Nearly heavy, slightly high carbonation, creamy body, not much alcohol presence. Good beer, nice to see NB make an imperial stout. It’s not the heaviest out there as expected, but it is well made and demonstrates its ingredients well.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 oz bottle. Pours dark brown black with a medium creamy tan head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is sweet lactic chocolate and coffee roast with a slight amount of vegetables.
The flavor is sweet lactic chocolate and a lot of roasted malt and coffee and a bit of alcohol. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with low carbonation.
Overall, a nice coffee stout. Sweet with the lactic chocolate, but nice coffee and the roast balances it out. Not top tier, but great value.
