COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Serving up cold and jet black, this imperial stout should be taken seriously for about one minute as the dark foam builds. Then, enjoy its velvety chocolate-covered smoothness and delicious aroma of sustainably-grown, locally-roasted coffee.

Draft at Jerry’s. Black with big, foamy, brown head / Rich nose of chocolate, fresh roast coffee, and tobacco / Full body, chewy and creamy, light acidity, some sweetness but mostly dry with good bitterness to stand up the big body / Toasty flavors of dark roast coffee, bittersweet chocolate, cigar box, grass, lemon, and caramel / What a great stout.

Aroma is pretty great. The coffee brings a lot to the table here. The expected bitterness is leased by the potential bitterness of coffee. A very mellow beverage for 9%

22 oz bomber. Pours nearly black in color and mostly opaque and topped by a small, smooth layer of tan colored foam that settles slowly into a thin film. Nice streaks of lace coat the glass. The aroma shows notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted coffee, dark and toasted caramel malts, and some earthy bitterness. The flavor follows with the fresh roasted coffee and dark chocolate right up front along with notes of cocoa, toasted caramel, and earthy bitterness on the back end. The chocolate and dark malts help provide sweetness and balance to all the roasty flavors. Medium bodied, round, and slick on the palette, with average carbonation that leads to a lengthy, roasty and cocoa finish. Tasty and well balanced stout. Good stuff.

bottle. Thick black with minimal head. Rich dark chocolate malt base. Coffee is understated compared to the chocolate. Flavors meld into a smooth composite. Minimal booziness. Really well done.

Taste: chocolate malt, roasted coffee, rich and molasses notes. Black and opaque. Cocoa and coffee nose. Full body with thick tan head. Smokey and would pair well with dessert.

Bottle... Pours murky and dark brown with a small, creamy, off-white head. Great retention. The aroma is a mingling of vanilla and mocha – dark chocolate and Cubano espresso. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and airy carbonation. The flavor is very deeply roasted, offering a nice ration of vanilla, followed by acute, burnt, tannic bitterness. Lengthy, bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours jet black with a creamy tan head that left great lacing. Aroma of roasted coffee and chocolate. Flavor of sweet chocolate, dark roasted coffee, espresso, and some subtle caramel. Creamy texture, medium/full body, roasty dry finish.

10oz snifter draft at Hop Stop. Smells too thick of hipsters in here to get a good sniff. Taste is chocolate and roasted coffee beans, plenty malty, not too hoppy. Ohhh yeaaa ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Countbeer (5982) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - NOV 15, 2014
Bottle: Thanks ig88b: Served in a Chouffe glass: Brown head, black beer. Aroma of coffee, some (coffee and malt) roast, coffee beans, some olives, some gass, hints of cacoa, lacto and red fruit. Flavours of coffee, roast, bitters, some chocolate, some olives, coffee beans, malts, malt roast and mocha. Aftertaste is bitter, roast, coffee, coffee beans and some dark chocolate. Low carbo, light creamy spiced mouthfeel, more than medium bodied and a light dry, spiced, bitter texture. Decent beer, I expected it to be a bit bigger and bolder, but nonetheless, a decent beer
