3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour on tap at the brewery, dark brownish pour with thin off white head, aroma brought notes of big campfire smoke, touch of chocolate, roast, coffee in there, very slight hint of peach but I think the smoke overtook most of it. Taste is similar, roasted coffee, chocolate, and lots of smoke, very slight peach but not much there, finishing fairly roasted, bitter.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: APR 18, 2012 Location: Draft at Vinoís, 4/17/12
Aroma: The aroma has some chocolate malts and peach, with notes of roast and smoke
Appearance: It pours a brown color with a red-orange hue and a thin sheet of beige head
Flavor: Fairly sweet up-front, peach, roast, smoke, earth, lightly bitter mid-palate, and lingering sweetness
Palate: The body is medium, with a soft-to-average carbonation, and a feel that leaves a slight tinge
I thought that this was a really interesting beer. I wasnít expecting a combination of chocolate malts, smoke, earth, and sweet peaches to work, but it actually kind of did. I had to give them bonus points for both being creative and actually pulling it off...

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
16 ounce pint - Taco Mac in Canton, Georgia.
Appearance: Dark brown-garnet body, decent clarity, with a smallish, creamy-looking, off-white head.
Smell: Basic chocolate, cola, and coffee -- in that order and not overly fragrant, really. Maltiness is overlayed with notes of old, soggy wood, cherries, and plucked peaches.
Taste: Chocolate, though light with a little sip of cola. Low roastiness. A pinch of table sugar precedes ripe peach and scantly tart juiced cherries. Underlying earthy woodiness, discreet and subtle. Sorry, Iím just never getting any apparent smokiness. The light tartness and fruitiness holds midway and well into the lightly spicy finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Itís good, I liked it, I even almost ordered a second one.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Hop City, Atlanta. Surprised at how much I enjoyed this beer. Pour was slightly thinner than I expected, a deep dark brown but one that appeared to lack expected heft. Soft nose of chocolate malts and just a hint of fruit. Body is a bit slick, and fuller than the beer looks for the most part. Very fine flavors, rich and with just enough peach to complement and deepen the flavors. Iím probably imagining the skins taste here, but somehow thereís something about it that evokes a woody, even vaguely smoky quality that adds even more to whatís happening here. Dig it!

growler. clear brown with a huge, fluffy, whipped, beige head. chocolaty cocoa nose like count chocula cereal. lots of chocolate cereal notes in the flavor as well. only the slightest note of peach at first and it comes through as a light tang instead of an obvious peach flavor while itís cold. more of the bruised peach flavors come out as it warms and are quite noticeable in the finish. very good..i liked it a lot.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Comes out of the tap a rich dark-chocolate brown with a creamy, almost Guinness-like light tan head. Malty, chocolaty aroma has smoky and, yes, peach notes and a nutty hint. Flavor has a malty core plus tones of peach, wood and smoke, as well as nutty and molasses hints. Creamy-smooth, firm-bodied texture has a decent amount of fizz and leaves a tingly, woody, slightly fruity finish. Pick this peach whilst you can!
