COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deep burnished gold with a slight haze, Le Fleur Misseur opens with pineapple, clove and honey notes. Dry-hopping produces a flower leaf aroma supported by tones of fresh bread and honey. Le Fleur finishes dry and slightly herbal. Produced for New Belgium coworkers to celebrate our 15th anniversary, Le Fleur has roots in the earliest days of our history. In 1988 founder Jeff Lebesch sat weary on the side of a Belgian road when a young lad passing by picked a delicate yellow flower and offered it to Jeff. “Le Fleur, Misseur?” Jeff misspelled the boy’s comment in his journal as he accepted the offering. A treasured memory, a beer to treasure. Brewed in honor of the New Belgium’s 15th anniversary. It is a tip of the hat to Orval.

Lips of Faith bottling. Slightly hazy light yellow-gold with a very fine, thin white head. Aroma consists mainly of a dry, leafy herbaceousness with an odd cannbis resin aroma. Dry honey notes intermingle with a touch of grainy malt and dry herbs. Body is light with an alcohol presence in the finish. Not terribly interesting.

Slightly hazy yellow in the glass with a thin white head. Very floral aroma, like smelling a handful of flowers. Slightly grainy palate with a healthy dose of floral notes there as well. Hint of citrus in the mix as well.

Bomber purchased at brewery. Pours a slightly hazy golden straw color. Moderate white head with very good retention and lacing. Aroma is grassy, Belgian yeast and maybe just a hint of Brett mustiness. Flavor is full of bright flavors--Belgian yeast, candi sugar, a hint of citrus and some floral hops. Won’t appease the Orval purists out there, but IMHO a very nice effort.

Intense honey, lemon, and spice....some fresh dough notes as well. Deep gold color, some haze smaller soapy head. Some honey sweetness with sugar crystallized mold, bitterness is there with some extra tart funk. Big carbonation, medium body, silky mouth feel, finish is honey fruit, lemons, and maybe some Brett.? Very interesting combination of flavors that works very well.

22oz bottle poured into pint glass. Hazy straw-yellow color with a small white head. The aroma had slight hint of peaches. The taste was peppery, citrusy, I was hoping it was sour like the aroma but it was not. Decent brew.

Pours yellow into the glass with a quickly dissipating head. Aroma is honey sweet with a bit of stale hops and sourness. Flavor is slightly sweet malt with a significant bitterness and a bit of the brett coming through to a quick, dry finish. As I understand it this beer is a nod to Orval. Well done, but not quite on par with the master!

Haxy yellow with good carbonation. Nose is really striking - lavender soap, arugula, wild grass and dandelion leaves. Flavor is more the tart horseblanket/barnyard Brett upfront and still the peppery flowers behind, with a crisp, dry finish with nice spicy pepper. Really interesting and very nice effort.

22oz. bomber served in the new style Boulevard Chalice. Pour a pale straw with a thin white head. Aroma is promising with citrus and a hint of brett. Light bodied, fairly dry with spritzy carbonation. A little grain, some Belgian style sugar flavor. A bit of an acrid flavor in the finish. Not a whole lot going on here. I was a bit disappointed. It would be interesting to see if some time would bring out the brett a bit more.

Pours cloudy golden, with a medium white head, lasting lacing. Smells of spice, banana, pineapple, bubblegum, and caramel. Medium-light body, smooth. Flavors of clove, spice, biscuit, citrus, with some grassy notes. Well balanced and drinkable. Some yeast and hop notes similar to Skinny Dip.

Light yellow color and aroma of light citrus and flowers. Slight apple, ginger, soda, sweetness...relatively light and easy and tasty.
