Pour from a bomber. $9 bucks is a steal for this beer! Slightly hoppy, sour and lots of interesting funk happening in both the nose and in the taste. Might be one of the best New Belgium beers they have made.

Bottle. Light gold with some haze. Muted sour smell. The hops are evident in the taste and it sort of mutes the tartness, but in a good way. I like it.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Nice, dark golden pour, thin but full-bodied look. The aroma hints more at tropical fruit than "sour" ... and indeed, this drinks with a definite pineapple-predominate sting. The sourness is within, but this is sweeter than most sour beers, and quite drinkable. A sipper ... lots of puckering going on tonight. (#5311, 11/4/2013)

It surprising to drink a sour ale that can also be termed fresh, but the dry hopping is certainly important here. Perhaps a slight bit unbalanced, but a little aging will even that out.

Surprisingly good, and I'm not a huge sour fan. The tropical fruit sweetness hits first, and then segues to tartness. Bit of hoppy bitterness discernible as well. B+/A-

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Dexters, pours a hazy orange with an off white head and a little bit of lacing, the aroma is of slight funk and some hops on the nose too, already kind of different, the flavor has a sour front end with some of the hop notes coming through in the finish, not too sour but still packs a punch. Not bad at all.
