COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Le Terroir is a French term meaning ‘Of the Earth.’ Used to reference the environmental conditional that affect the brew, we like to think about the terroir of our foeders. These wooden barrels age our sour beer in varying temperatures, humidity and vibrations. The terroir of New Belgium, so to speak. Add in another variable by dry-hopping with peachy, mango-like Amarillo hops, and we created a beer that changes every time we brew it.

Bronze in color and shiny with gigantic head of lace inducing tight microscopic bubbles. Nose of sour apricot and pinapple. Sour and clean flavors ride soft carbination. Apricot and pineapple core dominate. Sugary gum flavors guard the exit. nice.

My favorite beer of all time. No, I’m not just saying that. It’s incredibly hoppy and complex with an intoxicating aroma and flavor that I’ve never experienced. Apricot and tropical fruits from the hops melt into the complexity of the base sour ale. Tart, sweet, fruity, dry and downright irresistible. It’s the perfect blend of everything I love about sours and dry hopped IPAs.

Cloudy amber with a lasting head of small bubbles. Smells of a wet fall, gourds, hops and sour apple. Smooth great medium body with a sour fizz that climbs up your nose. The sour lasts.

Cloudy brown, amber color. Wonderfully sour aroma and taste---with a touch of the hop fruitiness. At $9.99 very reasonable compared to most true sours!

Outstanding! A very strong funky sour aroma. Nice orange color. This has a strong sour flavor throughout with lots of grapefruit mostly. Really great.

Bottle to glass. This is the real deal. Best Lips of Faith, PERIOD! Hoppy and funky on the nose. Hazy and golden on the pour! I love floaties! Smells like truckers nut and tastes like the skittle’s rainbow. Fruity, hoppy, and sour!!!

Served in a small half-pint miniature (Samuel Smith lager) wine-type glass and was hazy orange. The smell was delicious vinegar, enticing glue (you know you’ve sniffed it!), and sourness. The taste was explosively sour but in such a good way like sourpatch kids candy. Sour peaches, apricots, and it really puckered my mouth towards the back. This is without a doubt the best New Belgium beer I have ever tasted and so interesting the way the flavors change in your mouth. Excellent, excellent beer. Hazy amber pour producing a couple of fingers of white head that recedes to form a lasting ring. Body is fairly light and sprightly for a sour. Aroma and flavor are complex with peach, mango, pineapple, lemon, cedar shavings, sour cherry, vinegar, horse blanket/barnyard funk, anda bit of allspice, The judicious use of Amarillos for dry hopping was ingenious, as the fruitiness imparted by the hops segues seamlessly into the funkiness contributed by the brett.. This one is not quite as sour as La Folie, but has a more intriguing balance and flavor profile, and it has a better drinkability. Buy at least few, (it’s considerably cheaper than the Folie) if you can find them.

Perhaps my new favorite beer. Pours a dark orange, amber color. Thin white head. A sour aroma with orange and other fruit. A sweet and sour flavor filled with citrus and hops. Leaves a lingering sour taste, but not too much. Perfectly balanced sour ale.
