COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Le Terroir is a French term meaning ‘Of the Earth.’ Used to reference the environmental conditional that affect the brew, we like to think about the terroir of our foeders. These wooden barrels age our sour beer in varying temperatures, humidity and vibrations. The terroir of New Belgium, so to speak. Add in another variable by dry-hopping with peachy, mango-like Amarillo hops, and we created a beer that changes every time we brew it.

22oz bomber from Green’s. Cloudy orange pour, nice 1/2 inch enduring head. Delightful nose, all flowers, hops, spice and peaches. Nice lacing as she goes. Pretty damn good. Like a jv de dolle special reserva. We’ll let’s not go crazy. But I’d buy it again.

650ml bomber. Hazy orange pour, big white head. Aroma is funk, citrusy, and fruity. Lemon zest, wet hay, wet grass, candied orange peel, and some light earthiness. Nice mouth feel, soft carb. Sour and funkiness abound in the end. Loads of lemony citrus goodness, and some strong funk sourness. Excellent quaff.

2014 edition. Bomber purchased in November 2014 at Bine & Vine ($14.99). POURS a rusty sunset hue with a half finger of white foam. Though aged over a year and a half, the AROMA still has some bright hoppy-fruity notes of lemon, peach, pineapple, and citrus blossom, along with additional notes of light and fruity vinaigrette, "woody" oak, and soured malt. FLAVOR is really good with notes of nice smooth lemon, sour cherry, wet oak, peach / apricot, bits of tart grapefruit, some unsweetened yogurt-like tartness, and some yeasty-bready malts. Dry finish with some pleasant lingering (lactic-ish) tartness, and completely concealed alcohol. Very nuanced yet remains "accessible" despite the complexity. Not overly tart and the hops seem to add a "bright" element that works very well, making this extremely quaffable on a hot inland San Diego summer day! (748, 1030)

1 pint, 6 fl oz bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a relatively small head. Strong fruity esters, sour, and some wood. Tastes are primarily zesty orange. Strong acidic bite on the pallet, crisp carbonation, and a medium woody finish. A sipping beer for sure but a nice pic for a hot day. Also hides the 7.5% abv very well.

Fina smaker i god balans, mycket gott!

Draft at the Quad Alehouse for my birthday. Lots of sour on the nose and the tongue. Acidic and delightful. I got lots of pear and touches of grapefruit. Good stuff.

Keg at Knäppingen, Norrköping, Sweden. Cloudy deep golden, small head. Acetic peach aroma. Sweet and sour with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Intensely acetic and fruity. Peachy, citrusy hops. Lemon juice concentrate. Peppery bitter finish. More bold than refined. Too much juice concentrate.
