Peach Porch Lounger is the lovechild Saison of musician G. Love and New Belgium. The glowing orange beer is a groovy mix of peaches, hominy grits, molasses and lemon peel with pale and biscuit malts. Brettanomyces yeast brings a bold, sweet nose and the beer ends with a dry finish

4 ounce draft pour (2012) at ChurchKey. Pours a hazy golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of ketchup and light peaches. Tastes of ketchup, light peaches, funk, booze. Guessing the ketchup notes are from the Brett. Thin body with a dry finish. Low carbonation. Strange, would like to try this fresh.

Doesn’t mesh super well. Donny and Chris say ketchup and its definitely something along those lines. Syrupy artificial and sweet. Amber with no head and lacing. Bitterish sour finish that doesn’t mesh. Tap at Churchkey takeover.

UPDATED: SEP 24, 2014 Tap: Cloudy golden-orange, slightly pale with not much of a head, just a thin, white film that spreads across the top. Aroma was full of peach & yeast. A little boozy, too, but mostly just some chalky peaches & a zesty yeast background. Taste is a little weird for me... The peach is abrasively sweet, distractingly so... Lighter notes of apple & pear. Gets better as it warms, the 9.4% ABV becomes noticeable, but it helps to balance the sweetness. Notes of clove, bubblegum, seems like Belgian yeast? Though I would have never guessed Brett. Bready, sweet peach, lightly chalky & fruity finish. I usually love peach things but I didn’t love this beer.

Slightly hazy orange pour with a thin white head. Aroma is funky, yeasty, peach jam. Taste is peach, yeast, and a bit spicy. Medium body. Interesting beer. Tap at East Side.

On tap at the River Room, Whole Foods, Boise. Hazy golden orange. Full off white head. Faint light floral and peach aroma with some farmhouse notes. Mild slight sweet malt with some decent peach flavor. The touch of Brett give it a nice twist. Different but still drinkable. Shocked at the listed 9.4%

Golden pour, off white head. Yeasty with a slight fruity aroma. Smooth balanced flavor with a slight dry finish. Not a hint of alcohol. Very nice, very tasty.

Another interesting range of flavors in a brew from the LOP series. Smells of corn, sugar, and peaches. Flavors are a bit peachy up front, juice style, with a mix of grain, brown sugar, and faint lemon zest. Hints of a soured brett at the end, faint lingering. Decent brew, wish it was all a bit louder though.

Rather liked this one. Pours a bright orange with a very large white head. Musty aroma, with peaches and wet hay. Flavor is interesting, with the brett and peach meshing to keep it from the sweet territory.

Okay, been staring and decided to try this finally. Pours a good looking golden ale with a sheet of fine whites. Smells of textbook belgian yeast, bits of lemon, some sour milk, grain and sweet hawaiian bread. Tastes like a subtle saison, with plenty of peach juice flavor (unsweetened), some metal and clay like yeast character. There is a good dose of lemon must and some slight tartness. Medium bodied with moderate, loose carb. Meh, it’s an okay beer. Serving type: bottle 10-18-2012
