COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Peach Porch Lounger is the lovechild Saison of musician G. Love and New Belgium. The glowing orange beer is a groovy mix of peaches, hominy grits, molasses and lemon peel with pale and biscuit malts. Brettanomyces yeast brings a bold, sweet nose and the beer ends with a dry finish

22oz bottle. Hazy amber orange body with some white head. Nose is all peaches and brown sugar - flavor is fruity with some caramel malt and a dry finish.

22 ounce bottle - $7.99 at Lucky’s in Woodstock, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours a hazy, pale golden body with a small, quickly receding, white head.

Smell: Slender malts enveloped in fragrant peach juices and noted alcoholic waftiness, with light notes of sweat, citrus, and, to my surprise, even a bit of the molasses with some dedicated sniffing.

Taste: Pale malts with a touch of baguette, dried straw particles. Slight honeyish sweetness alongside the bold peach juice taste. Citrus burst midway. You’ve got a bit of tartness here, but it seems more a product of the peach juice than any brett action. A little molasses, a little spiciness that’s aided by the ramped alcohol heat which gives a clear hint of schnapps on the crispish, drying finish. Subtle acidity with the continued alcoholic heat in the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium-plus carbonation.

Overall: A fair brew that’s interesting enough, though I would’ve preferred it with less alcohol, as there’s a little hotness present. Don’t feel particularly like a saison, how about just Belgian Hodgepodge?

UPDATED: APR 25, 2015 Light orange appearance, decent head. Aroma of slightly smoky molasses and a lemon note. Flavor is, well, odd. Biscuity malt, more odd smoky molasses notes, yet dry, and lemon running through it. There is also a strange note that I can only describe as slightly cooked peach peel. Perhaps an unpleasant peach note would describe it better. Just a strange set of flavors that seemed to compete rather than complement. The other odd flavor I couldn’t put my finger on probably came from the Brett. Not bad, just strange. RERATE at SF5, 3 years later. Brett kicking much stronger. Keeping the numbers the same, because I was probably way too high last time.

22oz bottle. Thanks to dan for sharing... Pours a somewhat hazy orange brown hue and topped with a creamy white head...aroma of lightly tart pale apricot, not so much peach. More of a strong American, lightly oaked... And the flavor continues on through the flavor. Slightly tart but mostly sweet. Not too big bodied. Ok.

Tasted on 9/13/12 from a capped 650mL bomber bottle purchased at Midtown. Pours very bright orange with a thick white head that slowly recedes to thin lace, leaving thick residue along the inside of the glass. The nose is peach puree with some bread malt, a spicy yeast character, and just a touch of brett funk. The flavor is a bit more funky and spicy, with the malt and peach showing very dry and playing second fiddle. The body is medium with lively carbonation and a long spicy brett and peach finish.

Slightly cloudy yellow/orange pour with small off white head. Aroma of peach, citrus, and yeast. Taste of overripe peach, lemon citrus, orange peel, caramel and yeast, finishing quite dry. Pretty good beer.

Peach and lemon aromas. Tastes like an infected home brew. Ugh....blah....need something to clean the palate.
