Cross pollinate your tastebuds with Belgian imagination and you’ll be sipping this ale while visions of pluots dance in your head. Pluots? A hybrid of apricots and plums that impart a subtle sweetness. Ferment that with a wild Belgian yeast strain and you have a fruity yet spicy nature with a body reminiscent of red wine. Delicious.

Pours with no real head. Mouthfeel is thick and a bit syrupy. No real carbonation. Aroma is fruity, somewhat apple like. Probably pluot, but who knows what that smells like. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Octobachi, Charleston. It pours clear light orange with a small white head. The nose is sweet, apricot, peach, yellow plum, emmental cheese, hay and tangerine. The taste is apricot, tangerine, plum, apple, clean sweetness, touch of alcohol, light spice, earth and hay with a sweetish finish. Medium body and moderatel carbonation. Smooth, fruity and sweet. Hides the abv well. Not much to it, but a solid fruit beer nonetheless.

Pours a light hazy yellow. Herbal notes in the aroma and in the flavour. Interesting stuff. On tap art independent ale house in rapid city.

Sampler at Brixie’s in Brookfield, IL., showing a clear, golden color, with white head froth, and clingy webbing & spots of lacing. The nose was light yeast, tartness, with vinous qualities, an apricot scent, and alcohol presence. The flavor was similar, with noticeable sweetness, light body, with soft carbonation, and restrained alcohol warmth. Okay.

This beer really almost tastes like a slightly fruity malt liquor. The finish is really too similar. Disappointing.

Apricot colored beer, whitish head. Overripe fruit flavors, sweet honey, yeast, odd malty flavors. NO harmony...not good.

bottle at a tasting. Aroma: Not sure how to describe this. It’s a weird, fruity aroma. That’s the best I can do. Appearance: Fizzy orange/yellow with an average sized, diminishing white head. Taste: Sweet fruit. Plum apricot hybrid is probably not my favorite flavor. Bleh. Not bad, just wasn’t crazy about it. Heavy sweetness and light acidity. Palate: Fizzy and sticky. Short finish. Overall: I’d pass on it, but that’s just my personal taste. I like fruity beers sometimes, but this one was too sweet for me.

Golden pour with a short lived white head. Nose is slightly fruity with very little, if any, pluot. Mostly just sugary sweetness, some metal, and alcohol. A little bit of yeast and spice. The flavor is just more of the same. Sugary sweetness, light fruit, and some metal. Disappointing.
