COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cross pollinate your tastebuds with Belgian imagination and you’ll be sipping this ale while visions of pluots dance in your head. Pluots? A hybrid of apricots and plums that impart a subtle sweetness. Ferment that with a wild Belgian yeast strain and you have a fruity yet spicy nature with a body reminiscent of red wine. Delicious.

Tap at Clips of Faith 2013. Foamy white head on top of a golden-orange body. Interesting deep pungent fruit tones, not tart. Some canned fruit cocktail notes. Surprised me that it was 10%. The fruit tones really balance out the big malt backdrop. Mild earthy undertones. A little too big and meady at times, but still a unique, enjoyable beverage. The pluot never strikes you as fresh or natural..more of an extract fake feel. Still rather delicate for the ABV. Enjoyable in some respects, I’m curious to try the bottle.

Pour out of 22 oz bottle, hazy yellow pour with white head, aroma brought notes of white fruit, hints of tart lemon into some trashy notes, slight earthy, yeasty notes with a hint of herbal, floral notes. Taste is a mix of herbal, trashy notes, hints of yeast, slight lemon, white fruit, finishing sweet, dry.

A two inch white head of smooth to frothy consistency floats on a clear honey amber body, delicate dimensional lace all around

Loads of sweet pluot (apricot and plumb) with an earthy spicy layer in the gooey banana bread realm struggling to keep up, very sweet on a coating silky, creamy body which is on the heavy side of medium with very little carbonation to cut the sweetness, lightly dry, earthy, and spicy residuals make progress towards balancing the sweetness between each sip, as my palate adjusts to the heavily sweet nature, I begin to enjoy this a bit more

Sweet, fruity pluot aroma and flavor. Flavor is really sweet. Subtle earthy character--assuming from the yeast.

22 ounce bottle poured a golden yellow color with aromas of sweet fruit and some apples. Flavors are fruit, sugar and a light tartness. Booziness is hidden by the sweetness, not my kind of beer.

Pours gold with almost zero head. Sweet fruit aroma, but the flavor is apple juice tartness and little carbonation that doesn’t marry well with the malty body

OK, first, I love this series. Very creative collaborations. This is one of the better ones. Let this age in the bottle for almost a year. It was a good decision. High ABV is unnoticeable except for a slight warming in the stomach. Nose is Belgian yeast, plum and candi sugar. A slight farmhouse funkiness is present as well. Pour was a beautiful light golden color. Small fizzy head. Lots of tiny bubbles in a slightly hazy body. Taste is perfect. Lightly sour with candi sweetness. A little grape seed bitterness on the finish. Medium heavy body is mitigated by effervescent mouthfeel. A very nice beer. One I would drink again in a heartbeat.

Man, when these guys miss they REALLY miss. There are some very good LOF beers but this is a stinker. Bottle, best by 5/2014. Pours orange, absolutely dead in the glass. Aroma and taste are cloyingly sweet with a weird bit of tart. No chance two of us will get through half of this bomber. Having trouble thinking of a beer I would enjoy less. Just awful.

goldish pour with a white head. Aroma of sugary fruit. Cloyingly sweet. Almost feels unfermented. Chewy. Cracks a smile at being tart, but not really. Not sure if anyone would enjoy this beer.

Clear golden, moderate head, some lace/retention. Aroma is sweet malts with a sweet fruitiness as well. Medium bodied yet stick and sweet, fruity flavor dominates. Reminds me of a much worse offering that The Bruery has.
