COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cross pollinate your tastebuds with Belgian imagination and you’ll be sipping this ale while visions of pluots dance in your head. Pluots? A hybrid of apricots and plums that impart a subtle sweetness. Ferment that with a wild Belgian yeast strain and you have a fruity yet spicy nature with a body reminiscent of red wine. Delicious.

22oz bottle in a flute. Pours golden with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of the fruits, spicy yeast, a good amount of caramel malts, and light bitterness. Flavor the same with a lot of fruit. Average texture. An interesting beer, but the flavor of the fruit is not for me.

From a bottle. Pours clear gold with very minimal head. Full bodied, but also light, sweet, and dry. Like a fruit wine. Not too sweet. Hints of apricot, peaches, plums, champagne. Low/medium carbonation. Smells like alcohol and some candied sugar.

Bottle. Pours clear yellow/gold with thin, fizzy white head. Aroma is sweet fruit, bready malts, light grassy notes, dry white wine, and light spices. Flavor is heavy bready malts and fruit sweetness with a touch of booze; dry finish. Medium/full body and low carbonation.

22 oz bottle- Pours clear golden with a very small head that I had to rigorously pour just to get, zero lacing. The aroma is fruity and tart, never heard of an apriplum (and yes I did just make that name up), but sounds unique and possibly good, it smells like tart fruit juice such as cranberry only without the bitterness. The taste is tart fruit juice, this could be some kind of sour ale, there is a mild interesting lingering bitterness after the swallow, almost like a chokecherry. Interesting beer, no masterpiece, but good.

Bomber. This beer looks kind of like champagne and is clear light golden and lots of carbonation bubbles floating up. An almost white head is fizzy and noisy and leaves a thin layer. I smell fruit that includes apples, white wine barrel, and apricots. The flavor begins with some spice and the alcohol shows immediately. Yeast is interesting and has a bit of a wild effect. The feel is slick and smooth. This is kind of like drinking a mix of a cider and a wine and offers the sweetness of the former and the dryness of the latter. Some grape skins are tasted and pale malts are the backbone. This series is kind of getting old.

22 ounce bottle. Pours a golden yellow with a half inch white head. Taste is of apricots, plums, yeast and some spice. Similar aroma. Has a nice body that coats the mouth. The finish is mostly clean and a bit warming. The alcohol is hidden well and doesn’t show for being 10% . Extremely easy to drink and very enjoyable.

Bomber from Bev4Less. Pours mostly light orangey yellow, soapy big bubble foam that looks dense at first but quickly disspates. Aroma is funky fruit and belgian yeast and hay. Almost something like grape juice in there, or those nasty juice cocktail drinks. Taste is okay... white and red wine like. This is less like a beer and maybe more like a cider? Not sure. I could see this growing on me, as it combines the bitter sourness of some wines, with a dry quality and fruit notes that can be pleasing and different. Not everyone’s cup of tea, for sure, but interesting and different. You need lots of faith to keep buying and trying the lips of faith series. Guess I’m glad I did this one.

Clear golden pour with small quickly dissipating white head. Aroma of pears, lychee, yeast and caramel. Taste of pears, apricot, lychee, spicy yeast and apple juice. Low carbonation, full bodied and overly sweet. Alcohol well hidden. Better ice cold, as it became cloying as it warmed, tasty though.

Bomber. Poured light-medium golden with a short, dense white head. The aroma picked up sweet apricots and plums (imagine that) plus dry, lightly funky fruity yeast over some meaty stone fruits.. rich vinous notes right on the back of the nose.. very interesting. The flavor found a mess of alcohol-enhanced sweetness at the core (plums, red grapes, honey, and apricot), with dry fruity yeast, heavy peppery alcohol, and tart fruit skins around.. finished sweet, sharp, and hotter than I wanted.. this had a lot of interesting stuff, but it didn’t play too well together. Medium--plus bodied and overly aggressive through the palate (sweetness, boozage, and tartness, all at different times).. subtlety could’ve taken this a long way.

Pours a clear golden with little to no white head. Smells like someone just got done playing a round of golf and then tried to cover it up with some fruity cologne. The flavor is slightly tart and the fruit isn’t as overwhelming as I thought it would be, but damn if it still isn’t really sweet. My lips are losing more and more faith in NB with each one of these offerings they are producing. Just nothing that really works well in this one.
