3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear orange/amber with sparkling bubbles and 1 finger head and moderate lacing. Aroma of apricot and plum (or pluot), hint of yeasty breadiness with small hop contribution. Mild/moderate sour with mild/moderate sweetness. Medium bodied, effervescent carbonation. Small/medium finish. Good with fish dinner on the deck.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance had a nice hazy golden yellow to ruddy orange color. There was a small white head that dissipated within less than a minute. There was barely any lacing.
The smell had a nice sweet fruity aroma, slightly peachy but also allowing the pluot fruit itself to come in. After a bit of warming, a nice light white pepper helps to balance it.
The taste was excellent by having a nice sweet fruity blend to make a slight sticky sweet aftertaste that lead to a sweet refreshing and somewhat watery finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was good to me.
Overall, lately, New Belgium has been a hit or miss with me, but this one was quite enjoyable to me to make it well worthy of having again.

Persimmon nose. Hazy amber, thick head. Vinous, a little warm but pleasantly so. White grape and persimmon flavor, good intensity. Nicely balanced, soft carbonation. I fully expected to dislike this, but it was clean, well made, and quite enjoyable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A little underrated - I don’t think it’s as bad as the rep. Alcohol well hidden, with some floral yeast. Plum and apricot is not badly integrated, but the palate is quite light here. Blonde pour, ok head and lacing. Tap at Monk’s Cafe.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled on 5/26/2014. This fruit beer pours a slightly cloudy apricot orange color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, apricots and plums, a touch of brett and some tartness. A medium bodied fruit beer. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy and floral. Decent carbonation. The apricot flavors really shine in this beer. It’s a touch tart and a touch dry. Definitely has a Belgian influence, in the yeast and the spiciness. There is also an earthiness that matches well with the apricot flavors. Not too sweet, yet very fruity. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, 22oz. A clear one, except lots of micro floaties. No head to speak of, just some white bubbles. The aroma is very fruity, with a vinous touch. Some hoppy notes. Peaches, pine cone notes and a distinct fruity sweet touch. It feels quite sweet on thep palate, guess it’s the alcohol kicking in. Full body, slightly warming and with a nice carbonation. Lasting warming, sweet and fruity finish. Sort of cloying this one, without being that. Still not a favorite of mine. 140522
