"Thicker than expected with a good dose of belgian yeast. Only slightly funky and tart from the brett with ample fruity sweetness. While it may have been even better at, say, 7-8%, this was yet another LOF beer that we all enjoyed."

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22oz Bottle. The pour was a clear pale orange with a small (less than 1 finger) white fizzy head that diminished in a matter of seconds, leaving nothing behind and having no lacing to speak of.
The aroma was very mild of pale grain malt and a mild Brett yeast with hints of green apple, banana, plum, pineapple, a light vinous scent and a touch of spice.
The taste was sweet and fruity throughout, progressing slightly with a moderate yeast presence, a mild tartness and a hint of alcohol at the end. The flavor lasted only a short while after the swallow, being somewhat sweet, fruity and lightly tart.
Mouthfeel was light in body and watery in texture with a very soft carbonation.
Overall I was expecting bit more from this brew, although the taste was pleasant it seemed to be a watered down version of a Wild Belgian Ale... www.facebook.com/KAJIIsBeerReviews

Not bad at all. Hazy golden pour. Floral aroma. Sweet - plum and apricot and yeast all there, fairly well balanced. Real clean and light especially for 10%. Good summer sipper.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance had a nice hazy golden yellow to ruddy orange color. There was a small white head that dissipated within less than a minute. There was barely any lacing.
The smell had a nice sweet fruity aroma, slightly peachy but also allowing the pluot fruit itself to come in. After a bit of warming, a nice light white pepper helps to balance it.
The taste was excellent by having a nice sweet fruity blend to make a slight sticky sweet aftertaste that lead to a sweet refreshing and somewhat watery finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was good to me.
Overall, lately, New Belgium has been a hit or miss with me, but this one was quite enjoyable to me to make it well worthy of having again.

Persimmon nose. Hazy amber, thick head. Vinous, a little warm but pleasantly so. White grape and persimmon flavor, good intensity. Nicely balanced, soft carbonation. I fully expected to dislike this, but it was clean, well made, and quite enjoyable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A little underrated - I don’t think it’s as bad as the rep. Alcohol well hidden, with some floral yeast. Plum and apricot is not badly integrated, but the palate is quite light here. Blonde pour, ok head and lacing. Tap at Monk’s Cafe.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled on 5/26/2014. This fruit beer pours a slightly cloudy apricot orange color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, apricots and plums, a touch of brett and some tartness. A medium bodied fruit beer. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy and floral. Decent carbonation. The apricot flavors really shine in this beer. It’s a touch tart and a touch dry. Definitely has a Belgian influence, in the yeast and the spiciness. There is also an earthiness that matches well with the apricot flavors. Not too sweet, yet very fruity. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
