Alpine might be small, but their brewing chops are mighty. We teamed up to create this triple dry-hopped imperial IPA bursting with Columbus, Amarillo, Centennial and Simcoe hops. Consider yourself a hero for getting an Alpine beer outside of San Diego.

Good beer is good by every measure, but greatness can be subjective. For me, this is one of the most enjoyable beers Iíve ever tasted. Iíve heard good things from people I trust when it comes to palate and once I tasted this amazing double/super IPA and instantly loved it. Aroma is fresh hops and lots of citrus and floral notes. Also some candy and spice present. Not quite grapefruit, but some other citrus is present. Maybe Cara Cara orange. It pours a slightly cloudy and beautiful orange color with a this white head that gives way to moderate lacing. Itís medium bodied and there is some hot alcohol in the back of each sip, but not overwhelming for a 9% abv beer. Some resin and oil, but very smooth. It tastes amazing. I love the pine and citrus hops that give way to a unique citrus flavor like a cara cara orange or maybe a mandarin and some definite pineapple comes through as does some cotton candy and perhaps dreamsicle or push-ups. A little malt to balance the hops and some delicate spicing. Itís very balanced and not bitter at all. No astringent aftertaste. Actually, the lingering taste is of the citrus and pineapple. Again. All reviews and palates are subjective. For me, a must drink and a huge winner.

"Citrus and slight tropical fruit abounds in this sticky yet very drinkable double ipa. though intensely flavored, didnt think this was a 9% brew. Very fresh, very good. Alpine and NB know what theyíre doing with the hoppy stuff."

Pours clear golden color with white head. Pine, citrus, and floral notes on the nose; follows onto the palate. Just an average IPA, nothing special.

On tap at St Augustineís in Vancouver. A medium amber ale, with a bit of white head. No mention of peppers in the listed description, but they are sure by gosh there! They combine mightily well with the hop brigade to provide a very interesting diversion from the usual swill. Well done!

Horrible horrible beer. Curry flavored ipa which is really sweet and coco nutty. Smells like coconut and pours a light yellow. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2012 bottle and on tap: pours golden with a light white head. The hops are amazing. Bright citrus along with piney resin flavor. Malt is balanced. As with anything from Alpine, a great beer!! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Been looking forward to this one... Pours a nice toasted golden with a steady fine white foam sheet with central dome. Smells of sweet pine, resin, grapefruit, sweet malts and hints of alcohol. Smells solid enough to drink. Not mind blowing, but very nice. Flavor is sweet, biscuity malts, bitterness, oranges, grapefruit meat, cotton candy, and some peaches. Medium bodied on slight syrup with low carb and a slight, warm finish. This beer is nice, and I enjoy it. Strong work between the two and a good buy while available. Serving type: bottle 09-04-2012

Funny name, somewhat 1970s. Massive aroma with so much pine (I get what others note about resin) that it becomes vegetable-like...onion, maybe a bit chemical, too. Good appearance with hazy yellow/peach, white head. The flavor didnít end too badly, actually. Long finish. Reasonably well rounded. Shared with a neighbor in celebration of my wifeís 43rd birthday. Happy birthday, honey! Bottle.

Nice bright citrus and pine aromas even a little tropical; ample hops. Moderatly bitter and balanced. Good IPA for sure but not quite super. Sure wouldnít mind another one though.
