Cool looking bottle. Bottle at Jack’s farewell at Bruce’s. Cloudy yellow pour with a medium, white and bubbly head leaving good lacing. Light funk on the nose with heavier tart and lychee. Very juicy and fruit driven. Taste is heavily juiced tropical fruits, touch of spice, hint of lychee and a touch of tart but only just. Cinnamon on the very finish which works nicely. Not very sour, rather sweet and easy going. Solid

In short: An original, tart, fruity and somewhat rustic blond ale.
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed some 6 months after purchase. Bottle sent to me by mcberko, thanks a lot Matt.
The look: Shinning cloudy golden-peach color body topped by a medium white head with medium retention.
In long: Nose offers an interesting mix of exotic fruits, rustic yeast, barnyard notes, light spicy notes. Taste has exotic fruits, a guava purée sensation, marmalade and sour apples, pineapples, soggy white bread, discreet oak. A little rustic character with some kind of cobweb sensation. There was a smooth spiciness going on but I didn’t notice cinnamon sticks per say, maybe because I waited a bit for this melting pot of things to settle down. A big round chewy body with adequate medium carbonation. This Wild/Sour Ale is neither Wild or Sour, but as its name implies it is quite tart. An enjoyable offering. A beer made using cinnamon sticks and lychee and I love it, I think I may be the absolute worst beer hater in the world.

Bottle @ Bruce’s. Light amber pour with a small head. The nose is grapefruit, some lemon drizzle cake. Very sweet tangy fruits. The taste is light brett. Dusty attic. Sweet mango and pear. Brown sugar. Light body, fine carbonation. Overall, tasty.

Draft at Alchemy. Unfiltered golden-orange. Thin, quick fading head. Big apricotish, what one would assume is lychee, flavor. Tart and biting, with a light mineral taste. Acidic citrus aftertaste. In the American Sour vain, not so overly test tube, clean malt backbone. with a nice unique tropical fruit tone. Triggers my memories of other NG Lips beers I really like, but this one just isn’t quite there. The oak is there, but hidden deep.

Pours cloudy golden with a big white head. Aroma brings fruity sour yeast and tart fruit so pleasant in the nose. Flavor starts dry but juicy with not so sweet fruity notes entering on a perfectly carbonated body.

Definitely improved since its release last year. Tastes more true to the fruit now. Juicy; yeasty with relatively active carbonation. Cinnamon is MIA. Mildly tart, though it builds as the beer warms. Delicious and refreshing. Very approachable by non-beer folks: my sister would love this.

Aroma is tart fruit, some funk and very slightly perfumed. The flavor is tart fruit, malts and a mix of mild sourness and cinnamon in the finish.

Bottle. Pours a hazy coppery-orange color with effectively no head. Nose is quite tart with some fruit notes, especially lychee. Taste is very sour and has a bit of a bite on it, yet is rather smooth for its tartness.
