Had this @ the magic tree, tap. Cloudy almost muddy. Pale. Ever so slight tart nose. Taste is somewhat mildly tart but was expecting more. Not bad, a little let down but make no mistake, this is pretty good. There is a little bitter medicine that I find unattractive in the finish. A bit of a turn off for wild beers.

On tap. Poured a hazy golden color. Aroma of citrus and tropical fruit. Taste is tart with citrus and lychee and slightly funky. Quite tart with a fairly dry finish. Moderate body, Tart with a subtle sweetness to take the edge off. Nicely crafted beer.

A hazy pale yellow, slightly tangy nose with a background of lychee, especially on exhale. A lively tart flavor of lemons and lychee, more dynamic than the kettle sours with a pleasant depth. Good stuff.

22 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy straw yellow with plenty of long lasting foam. Both fruity tartness and sweetness in the nose along with cinnamon. More tartness in the taste than the sweet notes but it’s still on the mild side. Cinnamon adds an interesting twist. The fruit I would call tropical. Fairly light bodied with medium carbonation. This is a good one.

Bomber. Nose tart with generic fruit, lactic. Pour is a hazy orange-golden with a fizzy white head, bit leggy/oily. Very crisp and tart, zesty-sour but not extreme, light malt almost wheaten, with a milky feel under the effervescence. Lychee here is light and largely enveloped by general citrus and tart (lemon-grapefruit) -- you could have fooled me and said it was guava, passionfruit, even a blend of mango/cherry/grape. Low but very pleasant bitterness, and only gently sweet. Cinnamon does appear if I rush and gulp, paired with a slight scratch in the finish, but it’s excellent for subtle rounding. Faint wood and structure in the finish is very nice, especially in the absence of heavy vanilla. When I stop to think for a moment, I realize this is indeed a notch above some quick kettle sour with fruit slapped in -- there’s more character, class even, and most of that comes from the wood. [2016.07.16: 3.5]

After a second bottle: alcohol adds a little size but not warmth or flavor, and the lychee accumulates with solo drinking until it becomes quite prominent (and distinct, as opposed to 22oz earlier). Well done. [3.7]

Draft. Pours a hazy goldenish color. Aroma and taste are sweet lychee and some light tartness.
