Wow! Fantastic sour for a bottle. Pours lighter than expected, cloudy amber. definitely a strong lychee smell, yeast, and a hint of cinnamon. Quite sour, smoother finish, sweet and highly drinkable. Not getting much on the oak. Fantastic though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz bottle shared with the group. Pours a slightly hazy dark golden color with a medium plus sized fluffy white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet caramel, mild to moderate tropical fruit, decent tart character, cinnamon, wood tangy citrus. I would have liked to have tried this when it was fresh.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a hazy yellow color with a mostly lasted frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy sour yeast, spice and fruit aroma. Medium to full body with a tingly texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sour & fruit flavor with a medium to heavy fruit & sour finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer.

22oz bottle. Shared by alexsdad06. Totally hazy golden orange color. Thin off-white head. Dots of lace. Pretty awesome fruity spicy nose, unusual smell. Big cinnamon stick in the flavor, wood notes. Taste isnít as nice as the smell, a bit spicy, moderate bitter, moderate tart. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of crisp lighter carbonation. Lightly slick, light dry finish. Pretty nice, interesting stuff overall. The cinnamon spiciness wears off as I go, just turns into a nice balanced mildly sour enjoyable beer.

September 3rd, 2012 - The Lips of Faith Tart Lychee is everything a fruit beer should be, transposed onto a decidedly rare fruit. Lychees donít often make it to the brewerís recipe book, but it should. For one, lychee is a magnificent fruit - fun to peel, quirky, and has a bright, clear sweetness thatís both refreshing and engaging. But also because its taste can pair well with a lot of lighter styles of beer. Itís an accessory flavor, and can lend a lot of tropical shine to an otherwise boring beer. The aroma is just like a can of lychees, freshly opened and covered in a layer of thin simple syrup. Meanwhile, the flavor is all the shine and luster of lychee, with a light wheat background. The balance between fruit and grain is well executed, and the aftertaste keeps a short to medium note of lychee flavor to savor between sips.

On tap at Falling Rock. Pale orange and cloudy appearance with a white head. Aroma of citrus zest, tart tropical fruits, pale malts, light cinnamon and spice. Similar flavor, fruity, earthy, sweet and mildly sour. Light to medium body, pretty smooth, light puckering feel and a dry finish. Pretty refreshing.

On tap at Choice City Butcher. Appearance: finger of white head, cloudy, orange-yellow color. Aroma: citrus, yeast, viney grape. Palate: lively carbonation, light body, thin texture. Taste: medium sweetness and medium tartness. Overall, great balance, similar to La Folie, but less offensive and better balanced.

This did not age well at all. There is nothing reminiscent of the beer this use to be. This is clean. Nothing more! I based a lot of my rating on this beer a few years ago!

Heard this was different from bottle compared to tap. Pours solid haze purulent yellow. No foam save some surface etch. Nose is overdone with the cinnamon. Some tart and sweetness in the back, but this time, cinnamon dominates (waaay different than tap for me). Tart with more cinnamon and some lychee juice to help pucker me up. Medium on full bodied with light carb and a semi dry finish. Itís quite the novelty. 2/2.5/3/2/2.5 - Serving type: bottle 06-13-2012
