3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared in London - thanks to Kenny. Pours clear, rich amber with a creamy, tan head. The nose has dried berries, rich bread, currants. Medium sweet flavor with more dried fruits, dried berries, some herbs, a bit of brown sugar. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, some further toasty bread, aged fruits, mild alcohol, some pine and herbs, quite dynamic. Pretty drinkable.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very nice. Comes together well with great wild hints of sourness. Some raison and floral hops mixed with berry and I even taste the cinnamon. Finishes sweet and sour. Thanks to Gendv138 for at taste of this at the Churchkey tap feature event.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
An interesting take on the dubbel. Thinner than I would’ve thought but it has the dark fruit and candy sugar that’d you’d expect. Sweet and pepper aftertaste.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a deep red/mahogany with a finger of tan rocky head. Nose is cherry, rich malts, nutty, bread, dark fruits, maybe a bit spiced, maybe cinnamon/clove. Taste is not as good as the nose. Very malty, a bit astringent, a bit of fruit in there. I think it might be oxidized.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Wow did New Belgium nail this one.
Rich spicy, fruity notes accompany a dark mahogany pour with rapidly dissipating but lingering head.
Mouthfeel is malty effervescence in perfect balance with subtle fruits and spice.
This is a dubbel that should be enjoyed with spicy food, as its lingering pepper notes really work.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at Big Texas Beer Fest. Dark brown pour with a tan head. The aroma and flavor have some caramel and toffee notes as well as some brown sugar character. In the flavor I also get a hint of cinnamon as well as some dark fruit. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Had a hint of bandaid aroma. No bueno. It was cloudy brown with an off white head. A medium body accompanied with low carb made this brew in my eyes very average. Buy it try it

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pint on tap. Dark brown pour, opaque, good lacing, medium tan head, oyster head. Good aroma--alcohol is definitely present in the beginning and middle. It tastes the part, definitely not as good as we’re used to (NEW belgium, emphasize the NEW). Pleasant, somewhat bready with a farmhouse taste. Better than almost every other american dubbel i’ve had. Put more candy in it though!
