COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This wild Colorado version of the Belgian Dubbel ropes you in with clove and dark fruit aromas. Deeply rich and malty, every sip has a creamy texture true to Belgian tradition before it rides off with hints of black pepper and cinnamon from the addition of shisandra berries.

Shared bomber, poured to snifters, showing a cloudy, brown tone, with some amber highlighting, a bubbly, off white layer that reduced rapidly to a ring & film, and left some dots & dashes of lacing behind. The nose was yeasty funk, some spice, and fruit that combined the essence of dark, and pit fruit. Medium bodied, with some malty creaminess to the mouthfeel, the spices were particularized more as cinnamon & clove, as the taste expressed kind of a fruity lozenge nature to the tongue, with noted presence, but hidden alcohol effect. A flavorful, fairly interesting Dubbel.

Cool label. I like the design. Dark amber. Little to no head. Crisp Apple cherry banana aroma. Light dig taste. Doesn't linger in the tongue. Great malty finish toward back on the mouth. A nice light and crisp dubbel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Bernie’s Tap Room in Waukesha, WI. Pours a dark brown color with a slight beige head. The taste is smooth, malty, with a slight spice and tartness. Easy drinking and not overly complex.

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Light haze on this deep red - amber beer. Bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light and crispy. Light airy malt, mild cream. A strong flavour of hard candy sweets. Whisper of violets leads to perfumey floralness. Generic fruits. Light dry finish.

On tap...how can you go wrong with shisandra berries? This is a real spicy and less sweet Colorado version of a Dubbel and it comes off very well. However, now I’ll want my Dubbels to be equally as good as this...and that probably ain’t happening.

Taste comprises toffee, booze, light mineral pangs, stoned fruits, dates, spice, brown sugar. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, light drying curtain call, subtle coating of booze. Ok Belgoo Abbeydom.
