3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 ounce bottle, packaged June 2013. Served in a goblet, the beer pours a hazy gold color with a half inch white head. Head retention is good, and thereís a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is mostly fruity, thereís a citrus-like aroma that Iíll assume is from the yuzu juice. Thereís also some citrus peel and apple cider noticeable. The taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some wheat/bready malt and a bit of peppery spice. Mouthfeel/body is medium, with a moderate amount of carbonation. Itís also smooth and pretty easy to drink. I liked this brew, but I didnít think it was very tart at all. Still, itís worth a try if youíve never had it before. $8.99 a bomber.

2.4 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Hazy orange pour with a white head. Straight up, this beer stinks. Like a sweaty gym bag. Flavor is nice with some citrus notes which was surprising considering how bad it smelled. It could have been more tart and I would have been fine with that. Ok, but this beer could have been so much better.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cloudy glowing orange color. Smells fragrant like soap. Very citrus wheat taste missing some of the expected sour.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The appearance has a super light golden yellow colored body with a thin half fingered white foamy head that dies within less than a minute. Lacing is somewhat light and clings in a speckled sort of a messiness around.
The smell is basically soured grapefruit and light orange coming through in a sour/somewhat tart kind of way, yes my nose is bothered by this and though Iím not entirely into this style, I understand that my nose is supposed to be bothered or at least "annoyed" (sorry for lack of better words) by the style.
The taste has a strong sour/tartness thing going on with a decent sweet fruity backing coming in to balance it a bit. There is a dry grapefruit/orange aftertaste with a super dry finish.
On the palate, it sits light, fairly sessionable, with a nice refreshing quality to it (why am I having it this time of year, oh yeah, its from June 2013, ha, no worries). There is not as much sharpness or harshness as expected from other Berliner Weissbiers Iíve had, but am I complaining - heck no way - not from this guy.
Overall, hmmm...to me I think I would have this one again, but Iím nowhere close to being someone who knows Berliner Weissbiers well. Unsure, but I am unsure if I would have this again.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear yellow with a light head. Weird mouth feel with hay and citrus up front and a hollow feeling at the end. Interesting beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
bottle. Golden with one finger head. The yuzu flavor is unique. A little more sweet and tropical than lemon. Most Berliner Weiss are light, and while this isnít quite syrupy, itís not light either. Seems a tad overdone as a result.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Yuzu, very wierd taste to me. Reminds me of a sour type ale. The plus about this beer is that it has a nice prolonged aftertaste.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle courtesy of Dallas with that derivative ticker James. Pours a could gold with thin white head and spots of lace. Nose of lemon, grain, crayon, wax. Crazy sweet. Taste on Sprite with a twist of lemon. Light body, so sweet. Not a Berliner

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma of sweet bubblegum and bitter citrus rind. Appearance is cloudy gold with thin cream colored foam around the rim of glass. Taste is more bitter than sour, kind of disappointing for the style, with some sweetness; this should be more sour. Palate is ordinary. Overall, good, but would be better if this was more sour.
