4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Saison-like aroma with a slight sourness and hay along with a light citrus note. Lightly hazy pale yellow with a long lasting soapy white head. All of the aroma follows into the taste with a clear but not overwhelming sour taste along with the wheaty barnyard flavors of a Saison. The citrus component is like a cross of lemon, light guava and pear and is very tasty and food friendly. The 8% ABV is almost entirely undetectable and you’d risk getting completely wasted if you had a few of these around and didn’t take that into account. Again, a Saison like dryness follows the lightly sweet flavor and wraps everything up nicely. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into with an Asian fruit juice injected Imperial Berliner Weisse (that just sounds ridiculous based on the style), but this was a real, extremely tasty surprise!

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
I thought this was a very nice mix of styles and tastes. Its not traditional but the sweetness of the fruit up front with the dry wheat and bitter finish made for a nice complex beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22oz bottle in a glass. Pours golden with an off-white head. Aroma of yuzu and fruits, some light tart notes, and pale and caramel malts. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not a real Berliner, but not the worst beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours to a hazy yellow body with a lasting but thin starch white head. Aroma of citrus and soured malt. Very Berliner. Sour wheat. The flavor is tart wheat and a light yuzu. Almost lightly earthy. The palate leaves you dry and wanting more. Nice carbonation and crisp feel. Extremely easy drinking.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
~light refreshing lemony sour aroma with bread and floral hop
~Pours a hazy light gold color with quickly disappearing white head.
~Kind of taste like a weak lemonade that has been blended with wheat bread. Some other strange flavor in there I don’t recognize, maybe like coconut water.
~medium bodied, with medium low CO2, sweet tart quick finish with lasting breadiness.
~Not real sure what I think about this beer. Very odd. Pretty much taste like juice. I wish it was more sour. Wouldn’t buy again and not really enjoying drinking this. Just kinda bleh.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draft. Poured a hazy straw with a small white head. Aroma and flavor were light citrus, peach, apple, and some earthy yeastiness. I would never have pegged this as a Berliner weisse: it has almost no tartness, the ABV is too high, the mouthfeel is too thick. I’d forgive much of that if I was particularly fond of the beer on its own merits. But I’m not.
