3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Freshcraft. Pours a hazy golden with minimal head. Aromas of citrus juice, raw wheat, light tartness and orange peel. The palate is dry and somewhat chalky, with flavors of lemon cleaner, candied lemon peel, subtle wheat, and a touch of lacto. Watery body with a dry finish. Hoped for more.

Not very sour for a Berlinerweiss. Strange, but interesting fruit addition. Dark straw color with medium head.

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
I reAlly liked this. The sourness is immediate and is completed with a sour citrus as well. Astringent yet with a light finish,a good beer whose alcohol content is incredible for the style, as it retains the overall lightness one would expect. Yummy.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Gold pour, white head. Bullshit example of the style. Fruity and boozy. WTF. If I had paid for this I would ask for my money back.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Draft at Proof. Clear golden pour with a small white head. Fruity alcoholic aroma and not much else. Weird fruity aspect throughout with booze. Thick and not refreshing. Arenít they defeating the purpose of Berlinerweiss?

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap @ Cafe Benelux, Milwuakee. Medium gold, very little head. Aroma is sweet and fruity, soft esters. The palate is quite heavy and sticky for a supposed Berlinerweiss. Not at all tart or sour. Decent as a Belgian ale, but an utter failure as a Berlinerweiss.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
22 ounce bottle - $8.49 at Bullockís Wine & Spirits in Marietta, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a light, pale yellow body, lightly hazed, with a slim, white head.
Smell: Lightly sweet-scented, lemony nose with a vein of savory spice, itís a bit perfumy like a scented bar of soap. Lacks the lactic, that much is certain.
Taste: Citrusy, lemony with a smooth tone of wheat malt. Mild sweetness. Savory, herbal quality throughout. Nil hop character, bitterness. A little tangy, acidic, but the anticipated, hoped for lactic element is absent.
Mouthfeel: Falls about medium-plus body, though barely. Medium-plus carbonation.
Overall: It totally forgoes all of the best attributes of a Berliner Weisse. Donít piss down my back and tell me itís raining.
