COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Yuzu is a strange fruit- citrusy and bold. Those three words: strange, citrus and bold are the perfect beginnings for a great beer. So, our brewers paired yuzu with the sourness of a Berlinerweiss to create this beerlicious Yuzu Berlinerweiss. Brewed with pale malt and wheat this Berlinerwiess was acidified with Lactobacillus for a light, dry mouthfeel and tart refreshment. Hazy and straw-colored, the yuzu fruit brings a tropical charm to a traditional beer.

Draft at Imbibe Wine. Nose is fruity, lightly sweet, and hints of bubblegum and cloves. Hazy pale yellow with a big white head. Flavor is fruity bubblegum and light cloves.

Very mild, faint aroma of sour fruits and maybe just a bit of yeast. Golden body with tiny white bubbles and constant effervescence. Light flavors of what I am guessing is the yuzu juice or maybe lemons and some bitterness near the finish. Very light and bubbly and nice on a hot summer evening.

bottle - This hazy gold beer has an aroma of citrus, earth, and dirty sock. Yes, dirty sock. The flavor is sweet, fruity, and tart. It has a very bubbly medium body. Interesting beer. It’s pretty good though I wish it smelled a little better.

Refrigerated brown bomber poured into a glass. Pours hazy golden wilth small white head which dissipates quickly. Aroma is tart, medium/light body, medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is tart, tropical fruit, odd off herbal, and slightly bitter finish. Why do I buy New Belgium, not worth the price.

Pours a hazy light golden with an active head. Nose is sour, lemon, barnyard, funky, wheat. Taste is lemony, barnyard, funk, grains but not bready, a little orangy, smells much more sour than it is, aftertaste is not great and lingers. Neither dry not sweet, in the middle. Has some decent body, pretty smooth. Don't love it. It's not a crisp or fresh, granted this is kinda an old bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle: cloudy golden color. Smell of citrus and herbs, but a little bit wired. Taste is very fruity of grapefruit and citrus an honey. Interesting beer but not my kid if taste.

Bottle courtesy of Neils.... yikes. Pours out into a hazy yellow color with no visible bubbles. Nose is straight up faded mouthwash, mint, pine sol, herbal weirdness and a touch of lacto. Palate is garbage juice... eck, took two glasses of water to get this mess of my tongue. Slick almost slimey mouthfeel with strange minty herbal notes and dirty grain.

Draft pour at the Local Beer Bar in Eureka, CA. Came in the glass a hazy gold color with a white head. Nose is citrus. Some funk. Medium in body. The flavor is just slightly sour and there is that citrus. Finish is like the beginning and middle which is to say sour and citrus. But not a lot of sour. Good drink.

UPDATED: MAY 29, 2014 It took quite a bit of courage to order this beer. Man, I must really enjoy ticking beers. I typically loathe New Belgium beers, and this one is no exception. At least it’s overpriced. The beer is pale yellow with a small white head. Aromas of lemon, hay, sweet lemon cookies, alcohol, grain. The flavor and the feel are poor. Out of balance, overly sweet, artificial tasting. Too much alcohol for a Berliner, lacking all of the qualities that can make this style so delectable. Another gimicky, bullshit beer from New Belgium, where sales take precedence over quality.

On tap at Duke st whole foods. Pours a clear dishwater yellow with quicu fading head that leaves no lacing. Aroma is sweet yeast, corn and slight tang. Fire alarm went off at this point. Flavor is mild and overall out of balance.

Draft at ChurchKey, thanks solidfunk! Hazy yellow color with off-white head. Aromas of lemon, herbs, floral notes. Tasting notes of lemon and herbs mostly, some floral notes and citrus, very light tartness. Medium-light body with a dry finish.
