3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Blake (396) - Orange, USA - APR 19, 2010
Had from bottle, can’t quite remember where I got it - probably Hi Time Wine. Pours a nice amber/brown color with a good head. Smells of spices, hops and bread/yeast. Taste similar to aroma, complex, very well rounded. A bit funky, spicy and malty. Finishes a bit sweet and fruity. Lovely.

Bottle: The aroma has light bready/cereal notes and faint lemon notes. It pours a hazy amber with a small white head that leaves behind minimal lacing. The flavor starts with some lightly sweet citrus. The finish has light-moderate lemon, mild floral notes, and faint spice. It’s light-medium bodied with soft carbonation. Overall, the lack of aroma hurts my score.

Bottle. Bright golden yellow, huge fluffy white head. Aroma of dusty lemons. Taste is straw, hay, lemon rind. Decent.

22oz bottle. Hazy orange with white head. Smells very yeasty with definite Brett in it. Very very lemony, not a ton of Brett taste to it, pretty tamed on the Brett. Spicy, interesting not my favorite. It’s okay.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Quasimodo (107) - chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 3, 2012
Interesting brew with a flavor that isn’t easy for me to decipher. It reminded me of a pumpkin ale a little. I wouldn’t have known it has Bret yeast if the bottle didn’t say so. Slightly peppery and slightly tart. Hints of lemon. Relatively unique and somewhat mysterious.

Burnt orange color with a lacy white jead. Clean aroma with wheat and lemon and rich barley malt. Active carbonation. Smooth start with a bite on the end. Flavor is literally like a half hefe and an amber with some spice and lemon mixed in. It tastes sort of like a beer cocktail. The finish is malty and lingers with lemon zest.

UPDATED: JAN 27, 2012 Poured hazy with a beautiful orange glow and a half finger head. I expected the aroma to be much more fruity, but I could only smell a faint yeast aroma. Had a slight tartness, but you could definitely taste the spices in the aftertaste. Overall it was a mediocre beer and I expected more from New Belgium.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Jlo7399 (99) - Florida, USA - JAN 16, 2012
Pours hazy orange with medium head. Aroma is sweet fruits and caramel malts. Taste is sweet, but the brett tries to sneak in unsuccessfully. Odd bitter palate.

Tastes more like a citrus soda than a beer, unless you like something fruity do not bother tasting it.
