Color is a creamy golden with good carbonation and a tall fairly tight head. Both the carbonation and head fade after a few minutes. It starts with a light medium body that goes down smooth. Finish comes in tart with sour tones. After taste is dry with just a faint hint of peach. Its a nice easy drinking Sour, much smoother then the La Folie. cbkschubert (1967), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

Pours an ever so slight hazy orangish-golden color with a small white head. Flavor and aroma is fruity esters. Palate is tart, but not over so. Light body, dry, and fairly easy to drink as sours go for me. A nice beer. rustychiles (1026), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Pours a hazy applejuice yellow with a decent fizzy white head. Aroma is tart apples, peach, and spices. Flavor is sour, fruity, asprin, crisp, and very acidic. One of the better brews i’ve tried from New Belgium. thejoeshow (232), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 13, 2008 22 oz bottle. Pours a bright golden yellow color with a big white head on it. The tart/sourness comes out right away in the nose. There is a nice fruit bouquet with the focus obviously being on the peach. The flavor is wonderful! Lots of fruitiness is the overwhelming flavor with a nice malt character in there as well. The sourness is pretty big, strong and lasting. I waited a long time to try this beer and believe me...it was totally worth it!! joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 12, 2008 Thanks to thejoeshow! Pours a nice orange tinted golden color. Nice fresh fruit, especially peach, but I also get a little tropical and melon flavor. There is also a tart aroma almost like that of a tearjerker gumball and a grassy note. Flavor is very malty with a good dose of juicy peach and sauv blanc like grassiness. The finish is not short, but could certainly stay longer, with a nice sweet/sour fruitiness. There is a very nice pit like dryness that lingers as well! highibus (429), Mill Creek, Washington, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 9, 2008 draft at papago... hazy golden brown color with a small soft near white head. aroma of tart unripe peaches (not sour so much) counter balanced with some pale malty richness, grass and spice (perhaps cinnamon and clove). there’s a definite woody character in the flavor... not quite barrel. more like a few earthy peach pits made their way into the brew. this is followed by notes of mild tart peach, grass and a surprising amount of malty sweetness. it doesn’t pucker but it is quite tart and dry on the finish. it leaves a mouth full of peach in the aftertaste. medium body. dry, crisp and refreshing. it’s not very deep, rich or complex but it is well suited for desert drinking...
