On draft at O’Brien’s. Appearance is dark amber hue, fair amount of white head sustains, minimal lacing. Smell is dominated by sour/tart/funk, light fruits, citrus, and vinegar. Taste is light fruits (pears, apricots, peaches) initially, sour tartness in the middle dominates and lingers well into the finish, simple but strong flavors challenge the tastebuds. Palate is medium-bodied, light watery texture, moderate carbonation. Overall a nice wild farmhouse ale that is not as extreme as other types from this category, very approachable even to non-sour fans, great overall balance.

On tap at the Liar’s Club. Hazy amber with a white ring. Strong sour aroma, very fruity. Taste is a great combination of tart and sweet, the peach comes through really nicely. Light lingering sweet tartness. Really tasty and very drinkable.

Sketchy notes from Toronado, thanks to hopscotch for sharing. From tap Toronado. Pours hazy yellow with small white head. Aroma is citric to orange fruityt and slight milky. Acidic to milky initial flavour with a solid acidic base orange fruity base. Milky and acidic finish with a light fruity off/-note. Light citric and acidic into the finish.

On tap at Toronado. Pours a golden copper color, with a shiny film of a head, decent wet lacing. Funky aromas, tart, hay and straw, cherries and maybe some peach. Nice tart beginning to the flavor. Dark fruit, wheat, yeasty, honey, some corn. Not a lot of peach here. Sweet finish, seems like a mead at times.

Sample at O’Brien’s in San Diego (just before it kicked). This beer is a dark reddish-orange color with a thin and creamy off-white head that diminishes slowly. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet and sour fruit. Medium-bodied with a tart peach flavor dominating. Some various sour fruits such as pineapple are present too, and it is woody at times. The finish is peachy with a lingering tartness left over. Overall this is an enjoyable Sour Ale.

Stone Sourfest. I have to say this one was great. Sweet peach up front fading into a nice peachy tart finish. The finish on this beer really impressed me alot. Struck a great balance all the way through

Draft @ Uber. Clear amber with a frothy head. Nice woody aroma with some sour and mild fruit aromas. Lively busy mouthfeel. Taste is same as the aroma with tart peach skin, some wood and funky yeast. This one’s only mild to moderately tart/acidic front to back, unlike NB’s other sour ales. Good beer.

Tap at Toronado, listed as Eric’s Ale. Color is orange amber. Head is small and white. Smells like a triple - sweet malt, spice and light stone fruit. The flavor is slightly sour light stone fruit. Finish is mildly astringent. Body is firm and carbonation is mild. It is extremely pleasant to drink.
