HopheadHans (753), Bay Area, California, USA Jul 20, 2008 Tap at City beer. This is a kind of sour beer that I can handle. Pours wiht a very nice looking peachy yellow color, nice fruity aroams and great flavors of tart fruit, not necessarily peach. Very solid body and nice not too sour finish BMan1113VR (2758), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Jul 18, 2008 On tap at Luka’s in Oakland. Pours a chill hazed yellow with a small, off-white head. Aroma is tart with a bit of peach. Taste is a bit of bitter white peach and tart sourness. Mouthfeel and even taste has a lot of champagne like qualities. Light lively bubbles. enginaaron (73), San Diego, California, USA Jul 10, 2008 Aroma was the traditional sour brettanyces aroma with a very, very low hoppiness. Appearance was a moderately clear deep golden with a pure white head. Flavor was a moderately sour taste with light tones of peach. The sour was quite dominant in the beginning but then wanned in favor of the peach. palate was of course, very sour and "puckery." Overall, ok. Not as full-boddied and in-your-face sour as I as hoped but still good. Relatively light; good for a light, refreshing sour ale. UselessGdTaste (363), Long Beach, California, USA Jul 10, 2008 On tap at Beachwood BBQ. What a pleasant peach beer. It wasn’t sweet, it wasn’t overly tart, and it wasn’t super funky. It was just sour and fruity with a hint of crisp beer. Balance has certainly been achieved with this one. mj (4975), Colorado, USA Jul 8, 2008 Draft at Falling Rock. Dark ruby/orange in color, mostly clear with a very light amount of haze. The prickliness on the tongue and medium acidity upon first sip is very inviting, and the dried fruit/peach skin/fuzzy funk of the natural fruit meat and pulp is downright amazing. Full, frothy body, rich and prickly and acidic on the tongue, the La Folie is clearly evident, and integrates very well with the natural sourness of the peaches. Quiet, pure, real, and true throughout. Truly impressive. desurfer (1067), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA Jul 5, 2008 Draft at Falling Rock Tap House in Denver. Pours a hazy peach with a small ring of foam floating on top. Nice lacing. Aroma is sour and fruity with a touch of peach/apricot twang. Flavor is more of the same, with the sourness taking center stage and the peach adding a nice fruit character but not taking over. Alcohol is not noticeable. Interesting take on a fruit beer; it almost takes a step into lambic territory. ironchefscott (341), portland, Oregon, USA May 6, 2008 I was not as blown away as I thought I would be.....not as much acidity as I though was necessary for balance....decent peach flavor.......on tap at Hamilton’s in sd Snojerk321 (1919), San Diego, California, USA May 2, 2008 Tap @ O’Brien’s San Diego. A clear glowing orange pour.....no head. Lots of sour peach on the aroma, flavor was very sour and tangy.
