Ughsmash (3983), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Nov 9, 2006 On tap at FoBAB 4. Poured peachy-orange with a light ring of whitish head. Nose had bunches of sour peach, lighter vinous notes, lemongrass, and oak. Sour peach, funky, musty, old-barn-y yeast, and lemon formed an intriguing and puckering flavor. Sour, funky, and complex on the palate. Enjoyed this very much! StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Nov 9, 2006 Semi-translucent and a golden kissed color with a mild oil capturing the head, generating strength from the white doily wrung. Wildly aromatic, with Grenache, gewürztraminer, chardonnay grapes, apricots and brett. The peaches get rocked by the airborne infection while pale green grapes get smeared on sourdough. A lovely aromatic experience. Palate gets cleansed with the first sip, with green bell pears getting basted on oak. A mild apple cider souring compound tartly seers at the edges. Effervescence is in the tune of Cantillion and the souring granny smith apples and saffron characteristics are a testament to the bountiful harvest that experimental beers can reap. Palate rapture and a palate cleanser, with the peaches and apricots at the brightest amplifications. Dry feelings reside in the middle and especially in the clean finish, while the crystal pale ceremony gives a tartly crinkling cry of lemon juice cobbled in the end. holdenn (1432), Chicago, Illinois, USA Nov 8, 2006 Updated: Sep 3, 2008FoBAB 2006: Orange peach in color with a small white head. The aromas reflected the flavor sour, peach, and fruity. A little sweet without overdoing it like most peach beers I’ve had before. Finishes oaky, sour, earthy, and slightly dry. 6/4/8/4/15=3.7
9/3/08 On tap at the maproom. Nice sourness to it that isn’t in LaFolie realms, but drinkable and enjoyable. Sour tangerines, peaches, some oak and earth in the nose and flavor. Drinkable and tasty. 7/4/8/4/15 = 3.8 Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Nov 7, 2006 I’m following Philip’s lead on entering this here for the Transbrouwerij Peche that I had at FoBAB 2006. The aroma was a funky sweet peach that reminded me of a peach Lambic. Sweeter, though. It tasted of peach but had a tartness not associated with the fruit, then had some honey thrown into the mix. A tasty, enjoyable ale.

Philip (436), Illinois, USA Nov 6, 2006 FoBAB 2006. My non-drinker friends didn’t care for this too much, but I enjoyed it. It was certainly one of the more novel beers of the day. Strong notes of peach pie (sweet peach and butter) on the nose lead into more peach, apricot, and honey on the palate. The dominate note is peach here, which will likely draw some criticism. At the same time, I would rank this among the best fruit beers I’ve tasted. It reminded me of a peach version of New Glarus’ Apple Ale. If you like apple pie, you liked the NG. If you like peach pie, you’ll get a kick out of this. vanhoese (2), USA does not count Nov 3, 2006 best from the brewery, amazing bite, it’s almost a super tart lambic. I wish they hadn’t run out Walt (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 15, 2006 Pour is clear orangey amber with a dense tan head...smell is woody and sour with hints of peach and yeasty funk...amazing nose...taste is slightly sour with lots of wood flavor...hints of peach, but not overly so...tremendous dry mouthfeel, but seems very wet at the same time...what a tremendous tremendous beer... GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Oct 15, 2006 Draught at the Falling Rock Tap House in Denver, CO. Clear orange color with lasting foamy white head that left a nice lace on the glass. Smells of sour pear, apple, peach, and white wine. I have to disagree with the previous rater...it was a bit tart on the tongue. Vinous with a hint of peach, very much like a tart lambic.
