Commercial Description:
Deep burnished gold with a slight haze, Le Fleur Misseur opens with pineapple, clove and honey notes. Dry-hopping produces a flower leaf aroma supported by tones of fresh bread and honey. Le Fleur finishes dry and slightly herbal. Produced for New Belgium coworkers to celebrate our 15th anniversary, Le Fleur has roots in the earliest days of our history. In 1988 founder Jeff Lebesch sat weary on the side of a Belgian road when a young lad passing by picked a delicate yellow flower and offered it to Jeff. “Le Fleur, Misseur?” Jeff misspelled the boy’s comment in his journal as he accepted the offering. A treasured memory, a beer to treasure. Brewed in honor of the New Belgium’s 15th anniversary. It is a tip of the hat to Orval.

Courtesy of sebletitje. It pours dirty gold with white head. The aroma has grains, honey, a bit of spice, a vague apple odor and somewhat odd earthy-herbal fruity notes. The taste is smooth and a bit watery with lots of spice and yeast mixing with apples, grains and a growing level of tartness. More spice and apples take this toward the finish along with a persistent faint tartness.

22oz bottle. Pours a clear but vibrant glowing yellow with a thin white froth. Nice bright lemony aroma, decent amount of brett, light crisp sweetness, delicate and balanced. Flavor follows but is too light and watery, still very delicate and tasty, lemon grass, finishes bitter with lingering dandelion greens, the brett notes is really nicely balanced, lightly chalky. Medium/light bodied, a bit watery, soft fizzy carbonation. I enjoyed this, very sessionable.

Lightly hazed golden color with a bubbly to foamy near white color. Just a few isles of lace. Floral aromas along with pale malt, light honey, and bits of a dry barn granary. Yeasty malt flavors in the front give way to a citric middle. Light cloves and allspice near the finish. Has a bit of a watery presence at times. Also shows some alcohol. Bits of brett show up here and there, but don’t make much of an impression. Linger is light with just a bit of spice and brett.

Poured from a 22oz. bottle into a Trappist glass at 42°. Color is a pale yellow with a hint of orange and a slight haze. Carbonation is low giving almost no head. Aroma is light with a straw like scent backed by a faint flour hop scent. Starting with a lighter medium body it goes down with a soft slick feel that lets a light fizz come out on the end. Finish is a light salty pear taste, then peppery hops with a moderate bitterness. After taste is dry and sour leaving a slight pineapple taste. Overall its a good brew with a delicate feel and complex flavors.

courtesy of vasdef42. pours clear golden, white head. Aroma is floral, hoppy with nice lemongrass. Flavor, hoppy, light and thin body. Amazing lemongrass / citrus mouthfeel with hints of yeast. Felt a lot lighter than the 6.5% abv.

Bomber. Pours a cloudy yellow golden with a small frothy white head that leaves good sticky lacing. The aroma is bubblegum, lemon zest, and citrus. Thin mouthfeel with a light citrus with yeast and lemon with a nice clean finish. Easy to drink a good Belgian ale from New Belgium.

Pours a hazy yellow. Nose is bready, honey, spices, citrus, some funk. Flavor is spicey, funky, bready and yeasty. Some mild graininess, lemon zest. Grassy.
