Felix is New Belgiumís blonde sour ale aged in oak foeders at the brewery. It is blended in various proportions in many of New Belgiumís sour wood-aged beers, such as Le Terroir and Tart Lychee.

How to tell youíre drinking the Felix version of Love: should be straw to orange / amber in color, not dark caramel or brown. If itís called "Love" on a pub or festival menu, itís most likely Felix and not Oscar.

Draft at CK (shamefully rating from memory). Hazy orange gumwood pour, small bubbly head. Gorgeous tart nectar fruit, unripe peach, bits of citrus, cheesecloth, and biting peach yogurt funk on both the nose and palate. Legitimately delicious.

Tap at Autumn Brew Review - what a nice treat to see on the list! Beautiful tart sour lemon nose. Nice funk. Low carbonation, great taste. Soft, but sour and funky. Love indeed!

Wow, this one took my by surprise. Iíve had tart lychee, and while I like it, itís barely a sour, very mild. So I didnít expect much here and BAM! itís a full mouthfeel puckerer that rocks. Balls our sour, I with they bottled this straight away, and DIDNíT PASTEURIZE IT so it would continue to evolve.

A rather clean and spritzy sour ale, redolent of tea flavored with sour oranges and grapefruit juice, jazzed up with seltzer. A reminder that sourness and depth have different axes.

On draft at Churchkey in D.C. The beer is orange and pretty hazy with a soft white head. The aroma offers an assortment of fruits, to include peaches, apples, white grapes, lemons. Beautiful blend of citrus flavors. Nectarines and tangerines are very forward in the flavor. Very subtle tartness. A hint of oak. The beer is fairly sweet, but nowhere near cloying. More like a natural, fruity sweetness. Medium bodied with lingering citrus on the palate. A really tasty beer.
