alaskanwarren (269), Edgewater, Colorado, USA Mar 29, 2008 Gorgeous aroma - lots of cascade and some pale maltiness too. Appearance-wise it’s very attractive. Light copper with a bountiful white head. I enjoy the taste quite a bit - more spiciness than i anticipated (not a bad thing at all). Body is lighter than expected too - making for a pretty easy drinking pale. Very pleasant all around and I’m really really excited that NB is making this! (fwiw, I’ve met arrow a few years ago, such a sweet dog).
boFNjackson (482), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 18, 2008 PIB, tap... Poured clear orange with a frothy, white head. Aroma is barely there, some herbal hop and malt notes. Flavor is earthy with leafy hops and balancing crystal malt. Pretty average of a brew. Finishes short with not much of an aftertaste. Suds_McDuff (976), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston,TX, Texas, USA Jul 12, 2008 shared with stu and melanie also ... pours with a crazy big solid honey coloured head ... amazingly smooth .. pretty nicely balanced ... gold tan colour ... a pretty damn enjoyable head, with just the right hop bite .. sit ubu sit...good dog... jcdsmack (20), Henderson, Nevada, USA Jul 10, 2008 Updated: Jul 15, 2008This is an interesting take on an APA. It has a good cascade aroma nice caramel sweetness slight note of honey. A little on the soft side for a Pale Ale, nice mild bitterness and modest sweetness. I could drink this beer often and in mass quantity. My favorite from New Belgium so far. moelikebeer (93), New Brighton, Minnesota, USA Jul 9, 2008 Bottle. Clear, golden pour with a medium head that dissipated quickly. Aroma of herbal hops as well as sweet malt and caramel. Similar flavor with a nice carbonation. IrishBoy (2057), Bakersfield, California, USA Jul 7, 2008 Draft at Seattle International Beer Fest; Nose of very light floral hops and caramel; Clear light amber with a ring of off-white bubbles; flavor of light hop bitterness and caramel finish lightly bitter.
