COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
MIGHTY ARROW Pale Ale provides lots of pleasurable sniffs from Amarillo and Cascade hops with a fetching honey malt base. This is our brewed tribute to Arrow, Kim’s Aussie/Border Collie mix who ran (literally) New Belgium for 12 years. When she wasn’t patrolling the brewery grounds, she was famous for her office visits: She never met a tummy rub she didn’t like. Atta girl Arrow.

Tmoney99 (8844) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 27, 2009
Draft at Flying Saucer’ Memphis. Poured clear copper color with an average fizzy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate earthy hop and sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable session beer.

Bottle… Lightly hazed yellow ale with a small, creamy, white head. Pretty good retention. The aroma is a delicate blend of toffee, honey, grapefruit and Mandarin orange. Medium to full-bodied with a lightly creamy mouthfeel and radiant carbonation. Leans slightly on the sweet side of balance. Some mashy and toffee aspects. Finishes crisp and lightly bitter, then sort of dries out and fades away. Bottle provided by brokephibroke!

Ratman197 (7762) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - JAN 27, 2008
On tap @ Falling Rock poured a clear amber with a small lasting white head. Aromas of pine, citrus and carmel. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmewl, light pine and a hint of citrus with a smooth lightly bitter finish.
This beer turned out to be a big dissapointment, Big hops in the nose but the flavor just was’nt there.

BeerandBlues2 (7466) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - FEB 17, 2008
Draught at New Belgium. Pours clear amber with an average, fizzy, white head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread, grain), heavy hops (flowers, perfume, pine), average yeast (sweat) with notes of apple and pear. Medium bodied, oily and gritty texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness.

Sent in a picture. Pours with a big, rocky, white head covering a clear, deep gold body. Nice hoppy aroma with some bready malts. Good lacing and retention from the head. Nice lightly spicey, hoppy taste with a fruity malt back bone over the long duration. Nice level of carbonation.

daknole (7211) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - FEB 4, 2010
Deep gold pour, nice big white head. Citrus hops, light lemony notes and some very light caramel malt. Nice depth of flavor for a pale. A good mix of citrus hops and some sweet malt backnotes. Not bad.

A Sim rate (on tap at Flying Saucer, Houston): Aroma of hops, hops and f**kin’ hops. So incredibly hoppy. It’s a walk on a newly mowed lawn. It’s citric without the fruit. Awesome head. Very sweetly hoppily citric, but spicy too. Good, but I ain’t no hop head.

Bottle: Pours a clear effervescent deep bronze with a well-lacing froth of pillowy white head. Has a lightly sweet pale malty nose with a hint of toasted malt and good fresh piny hoppy character. Starts with good fullness and clean pale maltiness with a clean light resiny hoppy flavor before a clean bittersweet finish. Not overly sweet or overly hoppy, but well-balanced throughout. A very nice sessionable American pale ale.

A: The beer pours a clear amber color with two fingers of solid off-white head. S: Smells of citrus hops and a bit of stale bread. Plenty of floral hop notes, which are probably the best part of the aroma. A light toast note and just a little bit of bread. Not much else... T: The flavor is a bit grassy with a moderate bitterness. A little bit of citrus peel flavor along with some floral hops. Bready malt with some toast and pale, cracker malts. M: Medium bodied with a moderate to high carbonation. O: Just an okay example of a pale. Don’t think I would make this one a repeat beer.

3fourths (7064) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 20, 2008
Draft at New Belgium. Clear honey amber colored body, white head dies quickly but leaves sticky cobweb lacing on the glass. Strange blandness up front, pasty across the middle, with some sharp and moderately bitter hops notices... dry, catty, tastes like fresh cut pine. Strange and sort of gross flavors... something like catty simcoe mixed with a harsh cracked grain character. Body is medium up front, falls apart in the back... a nice simcoe/catty/pine hop aroma is noticed over time, but there’s too much wrong with this beer to do any good. Simple, unimposing, but boring.
