COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
MIGHTY ARROW Pale Ale provides lots of pleasurable sniffs from Amarillo and Cascade hops with a fetching honey malt base. This is our brewed tribute to Arrow, Kimís Aussie/Border Collie mix who ran (literally) New Belgium for 12 years. When she wasnít patrolling the brewery grounds, she was famous for her office visits: She never met a tummy rub she didnít like. Atta girl Arrow.

Bottle. Lightly earthy orange malt and orange peel/pine aroma. Golden yellow with moderate off-white head. Sweet orange malt and mildly bitter pine/orange peel flavor. Lingering bitterness in the finish. Hops subdued.

Bottle: Pours a clear effervescent deep bronze with a well-lacing froth of pillowy white head. Has a lightly sweet pale malty nose with a hint of toasted malt and good fresh piny hoppy character. Starts with good fullness and clean pale maltiness with a clean light resiny hoppy flavor before a clean bittersweet finish. Not overly sweet or overly hoppy, but well-balanced throughout. A very nice sessionable American pale ale.

Bottled. Poured clear lighter orange with a short, spotty cap of white head. The aroma picked up juicy orange and lesser pine notes over a sweet caramel base.. soft and well-balanced. The flavor found caramel at the core along with cardboard oxidation-like notes.. a little honey as it warmed up.. bitterness was light with orange and pine again.. finished quick with a dose of orange blossom honey. Light-bodied and dry overall on the palate.. carbonation was on the light side.. just an OK flow.

A Sim rate (on tap at Flying Saucer, Houston): Aroma of hops, hops and f**kiní hops. So incredibly hoppy. Itís a walk on a newly mowed lawn. Itís citric without the fruit. Awesome head. Very sweetly hoppily citric, but spicy too. Good, but I ainít no hop head.

Bottle. Clear golden, foamy white head that leaves some delicate lace. Nice pine and grapefruit hop aroma. Light malts, generously hopped with flavours of grapefruit rind and light pine, light in the body despite the 6%. Very good.

courtesy of vasdef42. Props to New Belgium. Finally an APA that stands out. Pours a golden/copper with thick off-white head. Aroma of herbal/grassy hops.and some citrus notes. Taste, floral hoppy with thick mouthfeel light sweet honey malts and spices. Some pale malts and tittering fruit notes of grapefruit and some citrus. Overall it remains rather sweet and extremely drinkable. This is one fine beer, well balanced between the hops and the sweetness.

This light amber ale poured with a fluffy off-white head and an intense floral aroma. The flavor is chock full of citrus floating upon a solid caramel malt base. Quite refreshing and fairly tasty.

12 oz. bottle from Randallís. Pours a clear, deep gold color with a thin white head. Aroma of floral, herbal hops, honey, citrus peel, and mild spices. Flavor of floral and herbal hops, pale malts, honey, spices, citrus peel, and corn flakes. Light-bodied, with medium to high carbonation and a spicy, sweet, and fizzy mouthfeel. Good APA, and interesting.
