MIGHTY ARROW Pale Ale provides lots of pleasurable sniffs from Amarillo and Cascade hops with a fetching honey malt base. This is our brewed tribute to Arrow, Kim’s Aussie/Border Collie mix who ran (literally) New Belgium for 12 years. When she wasn’t patrolling the brewery grounds, she was famous for her office visits: She never met a tummy rub she didn’t like. Atta girl Arrow.

Light with foamy white head. Mild hop aroma of pine and citrus that does not foreshadow a big hop assault. True to that aroma, it had a sweet malty base an decent hop profile but not overpowering. Perfect for me. This is one of my favorites from this brewery now that they discontinued Skinny Dip. It's a great session beer with enough flavor to be satisfying. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear amber color with white head. Citrus and floral hop notes on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with some sweetness and caramel malt.

Nice tasting pale ale with that signature New Belgium yeast taste. Part of a variety pack. Might get again.

Bottle. Pours a beautiful golden color with a fresh spring hop aroma. Taste is mostly an IPA however with a very strong aspirin finish. The company claims honey malt but I could barely taste any malt let alone honey. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled as part of a sample pack. A really tasty ale that had a nice copper color and ample head. Sad there were only 4 in the sampler. Good beer!

Bottle. Pours clear light orange with a medium foamy head that lingers nicely. Aromas of sweet bread, flowers, and light citrus. Taste is too sweet for an APA. Sugary honey, flowers, sweet bread, and almonds. Very dry finish.

JMerritt (1801) - Macomb, Illinois, USA - APR 5, 2014
Bottled as part of their 12 pack mix. Sunshade orange in color with a tremendously large and frothy linen white head. Mild-to-moderate citrus aroma (orange peel) with hints of peach and some nectarine and almonds coming out a bit later. Subdued bitter flavor with moderate malt sweetness, though the bitterness does grow a bit throughout the profile. Finish is rather dry with flavors of dried grasses, almonds and stale French bread. A rather light, airy and, dare I say, sessionable pale ale despite the 6% abv.

Some citrus hops and a good malt backbone. Well done package, great session pale ale. Light to medium bitter finish. Bottle.

An okay beer. Very fresh aroma with a hint of floral. Would like a little more flavor to go along with the dryness ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Just a good but not great beer. Not up to the normal standard New Belgium has set. Blah.

On tap at New Belgium. Appearance: finger of white head that lasts, amber color, clear, great lacing. Aroma: toasty sweet malt, light fruit, yeasty leather. Palate: light body, average carbonation. Taste: dark malty sweetness, slightly toasty.
