chokmah33 (88), Bremerton, Washington, USA May 10, 2008 Sweet, yeasty aroma. Honeydew, floral pine hops, bisquit malty. Fresh cut grass, lite spice (clove, nutmeg).
Taste is subdued grassy hops up front, nice balanced mid with citus (lime), melon and malt notes. Floral hops finish.
Palate is lightly bitter, very smooth texture.

Flavor is earthy with leafy hops and balancing crystal malt. Pretty average of a brew. Finishes short with not much of an aftertaste. It has a good cascade aroma nice caramel sweetness slight note of honey. A little on the soft side for a Pale Ale, nice mild bitterness and modest sweetness. I could drink this beer often and in mass quantity. My favorite from New Belgium so far. moelikebeer (93), New Brighton, Minnesota, USA Jul 9, 2008 Bottle. Clear, golden pour with a medium head that dissipated quickly. Aroma of herbal hops as well as sweet malt and caramel. Similar flavor with a nice carbonation.
