Commercial Description:
Mothership Wit elevates the zesty Wit or White beers of Belgium with wheat malt, coriander and orange peel spicing - all of which are organically grown. The alluring taste is the result of gravitational balance of citrus and sour flavors held in suspension by a bright burst of carbonation. "Mothership", long the nickname of New Belgium's brewing facility, has grown to encompass the brewery's sustainable approach to doing business. Appropriately, MOTHERSHIP WIT - a Wit to Make One Wonder.

Poured a very light, pale yellow -- transparent, and with a very short, thin white head. Very nice aroma, with nice citrus and hops at the forefront, and some mild spices in the background. Also actually grabbed a little of that banana. The flavor is good, but the finish left me wanting something more -- it just lingered with a rather flat flavor (not sure how to explain it). The palate is a bit too bubbly for my liking, but fitting for this Wit. Overall, pretty good. Excellent for summer, though.

12 oz bottle-pours a white head and hazy/cloudy yellow/straw color. Aroma is lemon, wheat, milk/whip cream? Taste is lemon, wheat, slight spice, creamy. Light body. Mild carbonation. Easy drinking. Thanks to Russ Powell in trade jwc215 & I did.

Bottle. Pours a clouded yellow with a fairly significant head and carbonation. Nose is citus and hints of banana. Flavor is very nice and refreshing, continued with the citrus and background banana. Very clean. If they bumped up the flavors a bit this would be even better, however it’s a nice summer refresher as it is. Thanks to theisti for the bottle.

Banana, orange, cream, wheat and sour yeast aromas. Lightly sour citric wheat flavor. Light earthy yeast and coriander. Sublte palate is has an almost waxy texture and is damn smooth. Very carbonated, but not offensive Underrated my friends.

Cloudy gold, massive puffy white head. Very aromatic peppery/lemony yeast notes; coriander also prominent. Dry, clean malts in aroma, light banana yeastiness, lightly bitter and tart finish. Nicely done; a little fruity and dry overall.

After spending five years in Germany, I had tried many types of beer, My favorite was Hefe Weisen. This is very close to the taste of my favorite beer. If I was a Bud fan. I probably wouldn’t like it. But I really do like this beer.
