BeerZack (116), Austin, Texas, USA Apr 5, 2008 Very light pale yellow, almost "white" with small fine head.
Very mild nose. Pick up some yeasty wheat, mild bubblegum.
Very soft and light, even for a wit, mild carbonation.
Not too much flavor either. Very mild light wheaty flavors with a decent touch of acidity. Hardly any spice detectable at all- tiny bit of allspice. Aroma and flavor follow right along the mild-mannered looks of this one.
kamish (70), Lake Stevens, Washington, USA Jul 26, 2008 a pleasant wheat brew. BrewCzar (32), St Louis, Missouri, USA Jul 25, 2008 Draft, cloudy straw collor with thin white head. Aromas of lemon, wheat, cloves, light banana. Taste is slightly acidic, lemon, with hints of cloves, coriander and honey sweetness and some bready yeasts. A very good wit. tronraner (1372), (Louis-, Sevier-, Knox-)ville, Tennessee, USA Jul 25, 2008 Bomber. Pours cloudy bright yellow with sticky white head. Aroma is rather spicy with some citrus and dusty notes. The flavor is zesty orange right off, with a chewy wheat quality behind it. The coriander is pretty obvious, perhaps a little overdone. Finish is bitter enough to be crisp, with a little bit of a sour edge, too. Lively carbonation keeps it refreshing. Not bad. NachlamSie (1309), Tennessee, USA Jul 21, 2008 Bomber at the Fox and Parrot. Pours a cloudy yellow with a fair white head. The aroma is definitely spicy with lots of orange, coriander, and husky bitterness. I found the flavor to reflect the same: more paper, grainy bitterness, and a distinct orange/lemon character. I don’t get into Belgian Wits very much and I approached this with apprehension. However, the strong, juicy citrus character and the punishing TN heat saved this one in my book. Not too bad. improvjock (39), USA Jul 21, 2008 Pours a cloudy pale yellow with medium white head. Very refreshing and smooth with a good aroma. Flavor is citrus and spice with a bit of banana and a nice yeast character.
