Tasted 7/2/08. 12oz bottle in the mixed Folly Pack. Filtered with a bright ruby amber hue. Slight head. Aromas of biscuits and a slight woody note. Mild cherry aroma. Medium bodied with the typical NB yeast character. Good blend of cherry; bot overt but noticeable. Good effervescence. Good medium malt roast. Biscuity and a touch vanilla. Not too fruity, but solid drinking.

Bottled. Mild but flavorful cherry on palate, some cherry and wheat on nose. This is what I expected Sam’s Cherry Wheat to be. An enjoyable, not over-powering "hot summer day" beer.

12 Bottle - Can’t say but I got it cause someone will not open cases.
Aroma Ė A very nice light aroma of malts, hops and a very faint cherry aroma.
Appearance Ė Light golden in color, clear with a foamy head.
Flavor Ė A very nice easy to drink beer with a good malt and hops use. The lack of cherry was frustrating this was billed as a fruit beer.
Palate Ė Nice Ale Mouthfeel, Decent texture with a dry finish.
Overall Ė This was a huge disappointing beer. Was expecting more from the flavor. Hello Cherry means cherry. I know do not kill it with too much flavor but must give it something not make us try to find it with our imaginations. New Belgium really missed on this beer. Good ploy put it in a 12 pack only release so we have to buy a 12er to get this crap.

Bottle. Poured a rouge shade with a slight head. Aroma is nice, like a pale ale with cherry. Unfortunately, the cherry flavor does not meld well with the beer, with a syrup like additive quality.

Bottle from BevMo. Brownish/amber in color upon pouring. Dark roasted malty aroma with a hint of fruitiness. Dark roasted malty flavors with a little bit of a sweet fruitiness. Not bad.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
New Belgium Brewery, Fort Collins CO, tap. Clear red tones in color, very weak head. Moderate biscuit malt overpowered the desired cherry flavoring. Was really looking forward to the re-release of this classic New Belgium.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle, glad I didnít have to buy the whole 12 pack just to try this lame ass brew! Pours a medium amber with a small off white head. Faint aromas and flavor of cherries and malt. Iíve come to the conclusion that New Belgium is no more than a mediocre brewery with a few gems.

2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured a dark red amber color with a small amount of head. It smells like bread and yeast, not a hint of cherry. The taste is all black cherry. Itís a little sweet but not overpowering. I really didnít like the smell and I canít seem to get over it. Itís a well made beer but not at all memorable.
