3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
[Bottle] Amber colored pour with a quickly receding head. Aromas of pumpkin pie spices, bready malts and only faint hints of pumpkin. Flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg, sticky toffee, allspice and tart fruits. Medium bodied. I appreciate the fact there is a tartness to cut down the spice. Most beers of this style are just spice bombs. Tasting notes from 11/2014.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Best by date of 01.18.15.
Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a mason jar style glass on 10.01.14.
A: Brown sugar and nutmeg.
A: 2 finger off-white head. See through blood orange body.
T: Brown sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon dominate. Pumpkin is subtle.
P: Crisp. Good carbonation, but watery.
O: This was too watery and didn’t have enough pumpkin flavor. I did not pick up any cranberry even though the label said that it had cranberry juice added.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
In the glass it has a light amber color with a medium head. Aroma of light pumpkin with a touch of spice and nutmeg. The taste has some malts up front with a blend of some spices. Not much pumpkin. Quick finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle from a six pack purchased at meijer in westerville Ohio. Pumpkick is a clear, dark copper colored beer with a firm head of white bubbles. Nose is a bit of cinnamon and nutmeg with a good amount of earthy pumpkin in the background. Taste is a clean crisp pumpkin flavor that has the aspects of spice and the cranberry tartness come through on the back end. very well balanced. nothing really leads out too much. Body is somewhat lively but also very smooth. one of the better pumpkin beers on the market.

12 oz bottle. Aroma: doughy, with strong fall spices. Taste/Palate: thin, crisp, astringent, and slightly sweet. Pretty boring pumpkin ale offering.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a 12. Color is a orangish amber. Aroma is definitely pumpkin pie spice like. Flavor is sweet and tart, almost like a lemony pumpkin. The spices are there but they are almost completely overtaken by the tartness in the flavor but not in the aroma.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear golden brown on tap with fluffy white head that dissipates to leave light lace. Aroma is pumpkin spice up front, hint of the cranberry tartness on the back end, sweet malt middle. Taste follows, just a nice blend of the spice and faint fruity tartness. Could be way worse, but a nice change from the typical pumpkin beer.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12oz bottle - To say I’m disappointed in this beer would be pretty accurate. I’m always down for a new spiced/pumpkin beer for Fall, but this one seemed pedestrian. Aroma is kept under tight wraps with light cinnamon/nutmeg/clove combo. Flavors of clove, allspice, some light cranberry essence with a thin palate and slightly astringent. Almost overly-attenuated to the point where I’m looking for just a hint of sweetness to help support the spices used. It finishes crisp, but falls short of being something truly outstanding. Another beer that falls flat from New Belgium.
