COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Whatís that bite of tartness doing in a pumpkin beer? Adding the unexpected kick of cranberry juice to brighten this traditionally spiced seasonal ale. PUMPKICK is brewed with plenty of pumpkin juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice, but itís the cranberries and touch of lemongrass that send your tastebuds sailing.

Bottle.
Appearance: Pours a hazy amber with a thick white film.

Aroma: Pumpkin meat, pumpkin pie spice profile, toasted malt.

Taste: Toasty malt, nutmeg, subtle Eurohop spice, bread crust. Finishes spicy with a tart twang.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, prickly carb. Juicy.

Overall: This is a great rendition of a nearly played out style. The cranberries are what made this beer.

Pour on tap at the brewery, orange-red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of cranberry juice, tart berry, hints of slight cinnamon, spice notes with some caramel, very slight vegetal pumpkin, some slight floral notes as well. Taste is a mix of tart berries, cranberry, hints of pumpkin into some spice, floral, and herbal notes, slight caramel, finishing fairly sweet, slightly tart.

Bottle. Pours reddish with a vigorous head. Aroma is slight, with a bit of sourness and pie spices. Fairly typical pumpkin beer but that end with a touch of sourness from the cranberry makes for an inviting invitation for the next sip.

12/30/13. Pours cloudy light amber with a fluffy white head. Aroma is spicy, pumpkin, earth, grass, slightly sour, nutmeg, all spice. Taste is elevated (lemongrass?), dry, bittersweet, lightly fruity, root vegetables, pumpkin, slightly sour; finish is earthy and pumpkin-spice like. Some nice lacing. Medium carbonation. Medium-full bodied. Another pumpkin beer to add to the pile. Unfortunately, not an exceptional one. The light, sour, elevated flavors are interesting. But they donít do enough to make this beer one to chase.

AmEricanbrew (5575) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - DEC 30, 2013
Bottle from 2011. Clear amber color with ivory head. Canned pumpkin pie mix, malty pie crust aromas. Medium body. Mild fall spice flavors with a lightly sweet caramel malt base, and some mild pumpkin---not bad.

fiercepanda (503) - Missouri, USA - DEC 27, 2013
A cloudy orange beer with a medium but quickly fading head. The aroma is nutmeg, cinnamon, and pumpkin. It has a decent pumpkin flavor and the cranberry is very subtle, becoming more pronounced in the finish.

Bottle:   Orangish straw, small sudsy white head, little lacing.   Soft cinnamon and nutmeg nose.   Otherwise, not much else.   Maybe some slight poinsettia of all things.   Soft spices up front, a little tart, perhaps thatís the cranberries.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Much about this one is very subtle.   Finishes very soft, subdued spices, a bit boring actually.   Perhaps a good introductory to the style for those not used to Pumpkin beers?

draft, ah pumpkin beers are on fire sale, as unfresh as possible, good spices, some light pumpkin flavors, just average

Above average pumpkin beer (draft). Do not notice cranberry at all, which is odd considering the advertisement. Overall quality addition to the genre.

Bottle. Pours reddish brown with an off white head that falls quickly. Aroma of pumpkin, cinnamon. Tastes of caramel malt, pumpkin pie spice, a touch of cranberry bitter.
