What’s that bite of tartness doing in a pumpkin beer? Adding the unexpected kick of cranberry juice to brighten this traditionally spiced seasonal ale. PUMPKICK is brewed with plenty of pumpkin juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice, but it’s the cranberries and touch of lemongrass that send your tastebuds sailing.

Sampled from a bottle, this beer had a gold orange pour with a little amber color, and some haze from the sediment floating around, the pour made a half finger white head that receded to a mostly open cover and ring, there were nice spots and fingers of lacing on the sides of the glass, this beer had aromas of spices – cinnamon and allspice, light malt, some pumpkin and vegetable, faint spice hops? and some cranberry with a touch of citrus in the background, the flavors were toasted malt and pumpkin, spices, bread and malt sweetness, and a little cranberry and citrus at the finish, the mouth feel was light with some creamy feel on the palate, and it had average carbonation, a nice pumpkin beer, the cranberry was a neat touch.

Not overpowering pumpkin and no or little all spice flavor. Good, but not the best pumpkin.

Bottle at home. Pours a radiant dark orange/red with a few bubbles, not enough to form a head. The aroma is strong cinnamon and nutmeg. Taste is cinnamon and nutmeg with some pumpkin flavours coming though. Very sweet thoughout, finishing malty. Too much spice, and not enough pumpkin. Body is medium with a thin texture and average carbonation.

Pumpkick is a very pleasant surprise. Liked the tartness and how it mixed with the other citrus flavors. Thin head. Taste isn't all that crisp but I was impressed. Not your typical fall beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I had this at Global Brew. Pours orangish with a white head. Taste pumpkin, cinnamon, sweet. I thought this was good. I could drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

There is great Flavors of pumpkin and slight spice. All malt and no bitterness. It's the great beer for autumn drinking ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appealing for the style, with a sweet caramel malt and flavors of pumpkin pie that hold a complexity advantage over this genre for the most part, but as all these do, it turns a bit too sweet through the finish, and more than one would be rough.

Bottle pour. Pours a clear copper with a white head. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger aroma. Sweeter spicy taste. Lighter body. Medium carbonation.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home while watching Bears vs. Packers after a 5 mile run on a gorgeous late September afternoon. Appearance is a bright light cloudy golden orange/brown with a rich frothy white head and considerable carbonation. Aroma is very fresh, nice nutmeg and cinnamon notes, as well as light tart from the cranberries. Taste is very unqiue, interesting mixture of pumpkin and cranberry, I can see this being a quintessential Thanksgiving beer. Would have again.
