4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This pours a slightly cloudy amber color with a creamy head. The aroma is mild with pumpkin and cranberry. I canít say what would make a person think that pumpkin and cranberry should be mixed together, but it does have a very interesting taste. Drinks very smooth.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. It pours a deep orange color with a small off white head. The nose has a bit of pumpkin spice and a light berry fruitiness to it. Lighter on the tongue than many other pumpkin brews. There is some malt sweetness up front with that light pumpkin spice. A little tart kick from the cranberry and lemongrass helps clean things up at the end. Overall very drinkable and a decent addition to the genre.

Solid twist on the classic spiced pumpkin ale. The lemon and cranberry add a nice kick that makes for a very drinkable and complex beer that suits the season it represents very well.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a slightly hazy orange with a huge, tight head. Cranberry comes thru in the aroma first, but then the allspice and nutmeg start to come out. Definite tartness on the palate, but it seems to come more from the lemongrass than anything. Medium body and carbonation with a fairly dry finish

Pumpkin pie spice beers donít thrill me usually but the cranberry juice here really cuts through it and makes this red colored beer much lighter. I also usually bemoan early holiday beers but this would work on a hot summer day.

Bottle. Orange-amber with a short tan head. The pumpkin pie spice is there in the aroma but I could swear I also smell Old Bay seasoning. Thatís not a bad thing, because I love Old Bay, but it seems slightly out of place. Aroma is simply spice laden. I donít detect any of the cranberry. Taste is mostly pumpkin, spices, sweet malt, light berries and light tartness. Body is medium with a moderate, yet lively, carbonation. Ends with more strong spices, pumpkin, sweet malt, light brown sugar, berries and mild tartness.

12-oz. Pours a clear pale amber with a loose scant gray head. Mix of tart cran with pie spice on the nose. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Fruity tartness from the cran along with that pumkingy capn crunch mid palate. Long sugar-milk saturday morning cartoons finish.

12 oz bottle from Wilburís. Amber-copper colored and clear with a small white head. Aroma of pumpkin pie, cinnamon, spices, toasted malts and light fruit. Similar flavors, nicely balanced and easy to drink. Nice subtle touch with lemongrass. Medium body with a soft creamy feel and a smooth finish.

Great sessionable beer from New Belgium. Tartness from the cranberry juice makes the beer finish dry and canít wait to get another sip. Another great NBB seasonal!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JAN 3, 2014 Bottle @ home picked up at RJís Fort Collins. From what Iíve gathered this is a lighter version of their Kick release last year. It is also their new fall seasonal. Pours a clear copper appearance with a nice cream colored head. Lightly tangy fruity, mild apple, fairly spicy cinnamon/nutmeg/vanilla, a bit toasted malty aroma. Mild caramel/pumpkin, toasted malty, vanilla, cran-apple, cinnamon, moderately dry flavor. Just a bit of tartness on the back end. The spices and tartness are held remarkably in check which is one of the main reasons that I somewhat enjoy this. The cranberry addition is a bit strange but it doesnít really bother me. Not as tart as Kick and easily more sessionable. Pretty easy to drink and probably chuggable.
