What’s that bite of tartness doing in a pumpkin beer? Adding the unexpected kick of cranberry juice to brighten this traditionally spiced seasonal ale. PUMPKICK is brewed with plenty of pumpkin juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice, but it’s the cranberries and touch of lemongrass that send your tastebuds sailing.

A watered down sweet pumpkin flavour. Not one of favourite pumpkin style beers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light amber pour. Aroma is spice and light vegetal notes. Spices are more subtle than I expected. Body has a bit of tartness, but maybe that’s just my mind playing tricks on me expecting cranberry flavours. Another mediocre pumpkin beer.

12 oz bottle from Imbibe Wine. Nose is pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, and a general spiciness. Clear orange with a small pale yellow head. Flavor is spicy with a slightly sweet note. Decent pumpkin ale but not great. Where’s the cranberries?

Bottle. Light amber color. Small head. Aroma was slight spicy, pumpkin. Taste was a watery, spicy, not much sour taste. Just an average beer.

Bottle. Half went on the kitchen floor when the cat knocked it over. Wish the other half had followed. Pours murky gold. No real head. Tastes like cold Campbell’s vegetable soup. A tartness comes through, but no actual cranberry flavor. pretty gross.

Bottle from Pilgrim’s Market, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, USA. A dark orange coloured pour with a thin white head on top. Vague pumpkin and cinnamon aroma. Slight pumpkin taste, spice and a little cinnamon. Quite thin for a 6% beer.

Spicy pumpkin ale. Not too bad for a style that has too many of its own flooding the shelves.

This beer pours a gorgeous hazy orange color with both lots of fine-grain sediment floating throughout and a large white head that fades to a thin layer sitting on top. The aroma is a nice blend of pumpkin, nutmeg, and clove, and the taste is a surprisingly pleasant blend of mild sweetness and slight sourness. However, the palate doesn’t quite complement the nice flavor of this brew due to the soft carbonation, light body, slick texture, and long sweet finish.

Pours a deep cooper-orange with a wispy white head. Pumpkin pie spice, caramel, and vanilla aromas. The pumpkin flavor is very subtle along with just a hint of spice. There are also malt, bread, caramel, and cranberry flavors. The finish is tart with a lingering cranberry aftertaste. The mouthfeel is smooth with moderate carbonation. I really like the tart finish but wanted more pumpkin.
