What’s that bite of tartness doing in a pumpkin beer? Adding the unexpected kick of cranberry juice to brighten this traditionally spiced seasonal ale. PUMPKICK is brewed with plenty of pumpkin juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice, but it’s the cranberries and touch of lemongrass that send your tastebuds sailing.

UPDATED: SEP 24, 2014 Clear copper-orange with an off-white head. Aroma of caramel, nutmeg, cranberries, and cinnamon. Taste is sweet and malty with some fruitiness and nice moderate pumpkin pie spice and slight bitterness. Medium bodied and a little sticky with somewhat soft carbonation; semi-dry.

Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - Abercorn St. - 12 oz bottle. Pours a deep dark copper, quickly fading off-white head. Solid spicy aroma with pumpkin pie spice and some ripening vegetable notes. Flavor has a nice punch to it with pumpkin pie spice, some light cinnamon and nutmeg. Mouthfeel has a nice thickness to it.

12oz bottle pours out a nice copper topped with a white head. Nose is full of pumpkin spice, nutmeg, and some sweetness. Taste is as the nose with more of the spice notes and less of the pumpkin. Lots of cinnamon and nutmeg.

Rated from notes taken 21 Sep 2013 -- I was a little disappointed by this brew from New Belgium, probably had higher expectations than I normally do from Pumpkin Brews.

Tap, orange-red pour with a white head, sweet taste of pumpkin and some pumpkin pie spice, it is a little thin, I was expecting a little more from this one but it is okay enough for a fall seasonal

Rated on 01-16-214 (Bottle) This beer pours a medium size very smooth off-white head that mostly diminishes, golden transparent body, very fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and a fair amount of lacing. The aromas are malt, sweetness, tartness, pumpkin, spice, ginger, cinnamon, and some nutmeg. The flavor mimics the aromas along with being lightly acidic. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is light-medium bodied favoring on the light side. This beer’s flavors did not entice me at all to want to have this beer again as the tartness ruined it for me. I did not detect any cranberry juice as noted in the Commercial Description.

Slightly hazy amber with a light head. Squash skin scents. Mealy and bitter malty, good.

Hiding in the back of my fridge for a while now (got tired of pumpkin brews) - from one of the ABC’s (Betton I think). Hazy deep orange pour with visible floaties. Aroma is even pumpkin spice. Tastes are heavy on the nutmeg with a strange tang to it. Kind of putters-out in the end, but not overly sweet which is good by me.

This bottled brew from a grocery store poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a softly carbonated transparent dark orange colored body and an excellent lacing. The nice aroma was pumpkin. The smooth mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish. The balanced flavor contained notes of pumpkin and hops. An OK brew just nothing special.
