3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle poured into my Elysian Night Owl Pumpkin tulip glass. Pours a clear orange copper color With a medium to thin white head that lraves light lacing. Smells of pumpkin, spices, lemongrass, and cinnamon. Tastes of all the same things in the smell but with a lingering cranberry/lemongrass tartness in the backend. Mouthfeel is meduim bodied with light carbonation and a slightly dry finish. I was really excited when I saw this. I ended up being sort of let down. Not bad but could have been done much better and had more carbonation. It also needed a little more pumpkin and spice flavors. I Might pick up a 6 pack if its the right price but wonít be seeking it out again.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a medium dark orange color with a thin off white head. There is a noticeable spicy aroma of nutmeg and cinnamon. It tastes like an oatmeal or molasses cookie with cranberries. The spices are more prevalent than any pumpkin flavor. Better than others I have tired but not that great. As it warmed up it seemed more watery and only the stronger spices came through. This one needs to be drank cold. OK but not that great.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
A- Pumpkin, spices, subtle fruits, wheat.
A- Amber color, clear liquid, white head.
T- Pumpkin, artificial, spices.
P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, off tasting finish.
O- Definitely an artificial pumpkin taste and now that I know there is cranberries and lemongrass in here I can see why it had such an odd flavor I didnít like.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A definite taste of pumpkin the moment it enters your mouth. The cinnamon and nutmeg are also quite apparent at the first sip. The cranberries and lemongrass are really not apparent to this palate. Very smooth-drinking with a full body. First taste reminds me of a Thanksgiving pumpkin pie. The pumpkin is less noticeable the more you drink it. A great Fall beer; not necessarily the best beer to have on a sultry New Orleans summer night, but it goes great with my cooking.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
August 1st, 2013 - New Belgium works on several beer projects it seems. Most important to me and my seasonal customs is their participation on Elysianís pumpkin brew, but they have their own child to take care of too: The Pumpkick. Itís body is colored like a dark pumpkin rind, and it kicks up a bit of a laurel of foam. But in taste and aroma itís shockingly generic. It runs a nice balance between the vegetal and sweet versions of the brew, but the most noticeable departure from convention is a sharp and pleasant acidity. Aside from this extra kick or tang, itís just another pumpkin beer on the shelves - shocking, given its origins.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
[Bottle] Amber colored pour with a quickly receding head. Aromas of pumpkin pie spices, bready malts and only faint hints of pumpkin. Flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg, sticky toffee, allspice and tart fruits. Medium bodied. I appreciate the fact there is a tartness to cut down the spice. Most beers of this style are just spice bombs. Tasting notes from 11/2014.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Best by date of 01.18.15.
Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a mason jar style glass on 10.01.14.
A: Brown sugar and nutmeg.
A: 2 finger off-white head. See through blood orange body.
T: Brown sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon dominate. Pumpkin is subtle.
P: Crisp. Good carbonation, but watery.
O: This was too watery and didnít have enough pumpkin flavor. I did not pick up any cranberry even though the label said that it had cranberry juice added.

In the glass it has a light amber color with a medium head. Aroma of light pumpkin with a touch of spice and nutmeg. The taste has some malts up front with a blend of some spices. Not much pumpkin. Quick finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle from a six pack purchased at meijer in westerville Ohio. Pumpkick is a clear, dark copper colored beer with a firm head of white bubbles. Nose is a bit of cinnamon and nutmeg with a good amount of earthy pumpkin in the background. Taste is a clean crisp pumpkin flavor that has the aspects of spice and the cranberry tartness come through on the back end. very well balanced. nothing really leads out too much. Body is somewhat lively but also very smooth. one of the better pumpkin beers on the market.
